He's always been listed (incorrectly IMO) as a DT. Any chance MFL changes his status to DE in 2007? Other 3-4 DEs like Richard Seymour or Chris Canty don't qualify for the DT designation. Even Orpheus Roye, who slipped through as a DT in 2005, has been correctly designated as a DE now. Why does Castillo continue to be listed as a DT? Am I missing something? Has he been spelling Jamal Williams at NT? Does San Diego slip into the 4-3 more often than New England, or Dallas, or any of the other 3-4 teams? The leagues I play in have separate starting roster slots for DT and DE, and while Castillo is virtually inarguably the top "DT" in the league, he's just another decent second-tier player as a DE (fantasy-wise). For leagues that separate DT and DE slots, this quirk is as significant and controversial as LB Brian Thomas being listed as a DE.
