ESPN reporting that John Lynch has left the Broncos and will either retire or go to another team.

Any idea who's in the lead for FS/SS for Denver this year...they brought in a lot of guys during the off-season (IIRC) - any updates on depth charts? TIA...

My guess is Abdullah at SS and McCree at FS. I don't see much in the way of competition.

It's definitely Abdullah, as the team took him off special teams duty earlier in the week. Marlon McCree should have a significant lead on Marquand Manuel and Josh Barrett for now.

Thanks, guys...hate to see someone like Lynch look to hang them up...but, nature of the beast. He and Strahan would have some good back and forth, I guess. Have been hanging onto Abdullah hoping that he'd win out...one less hurdle to clear, I imagine.

I've heard from various sources that the Colts and the Bears are interested.

Rhonda Moss from 610 sports in KC asked Herm Edwards (per my request) if the Chiefs would be interested. Herm said that they (he and Lynch) had talked, but that other teams were in front of KC - but it could be a possibility.
