What's up Capt,I don't think anyone actually thought he would put up the same numbers under a new offensive scheme. That's not the issue, Bulger has struggled to grasp the new scheme in which he admitted himself. Actually people are in fact losing because of Bulger's play, again there was a thread last week in which this came out which is why I'm asking the original question.

BTW Tex, fwiw I do have Bulger on one redraft team this year. The team is 1-1 and the loss had a lot of people to share the blame in Week 1 > Alexander and Evans were at least as responsible as Bulger.

I just think it's too easy to blame it on a QB who will get better as the season goes on.

I hope you're right my friend, I hope your right. Don't think I'm giving up on Bulger at this point because I'm not, but there has to be some concerned about his play. I haven't been able to watch the games but nfl.com analysis seems to show him missing his WRs, but this could be for many different reasons.

Bulgar is definately hurting several squads for sure ... and it may not be as direct as his own scoring either ... Holt has 1 TD reception and the rest of the receiving corp has been shut out in 2 games ... so sure Bulgar is under the gun ... but it's far too early to pull the plug ... sit him down for a couple weeks maybe ... but don't give up on him ... St. Lou has far too many scoring threats and Bulgar will be the linchpin that get's things going .... this week should be a good test .... but I may just start Penny vs Buffalo ...

I seem to remember Scott Lenihan running a pretty wide open offense in Minnesota not too long ago. He has the personnel to do it in St. Louis.

Please. We're talking about a team that has one of the most prolific receiving tandems in NFL history and capable WR's in the 3 and 4 spots in Curtis and Mcdonald. Anyone that predicted they would abandon the passing game like they have in the first two games is a genious. Perhaps, they should be writing prophetic books and not wasting their time in fantasy forums, IMHO

I have Bulger and a record of 2-0, only because of the Balt. defense.

I drafted Bulger knowing his stats would drop from the Martz days, but it's been painful watching him adjust. I hope they get going and there's a nice balance going forward. If he can get 225-250 per week and 2td's then I'm happy.

If I had to do again, I would have waited until after the 5th round to draft someone else. I picked up Kitna off the wire and will play him in certain matchups.

You the concern is growing when you have to pick up Kitna or Grossman.

Bulger rebounded nicely this week. With his next game home against Detriot, I could see a 300 yard performance again considering what Favre did to them this last week.

Thankfully, Bulger is actually riding my pine as he was my 2nd QB taken, Donovan McNasty was the first. I've thought about dropping him, but I just can't. I do think he'll turn it around at some point, but enough for me to put him in front of Donovan?? haha, I do know plenty of my league mates are just waiting for me to drop him, but I think I'm just going to hold onto him. He's just too quality a backup QB for me, insurance is key, you never know, Donovan could go down in some nasty injury and I'd have no reservations to plug Bulger in at that point.

Not sure why the sky is falling for Bulger for some of you. He's only 2-3 good weeks away from the lower half of the top 10...who had him ranked higher than that anyway?

No problem gump. With a victory I'm 1-2, Bulger played well. One could agrue it's a combo, for example.Week 1.Bulger only scored 10pts (which would be a disappointment for any starting QB), I lost by 8pts. Now there was still hope but L. Jordan let me down (enough said).Week2Bulger scored 15pts, I lost by 8pts, but T. Elderado O. was my late hope, he too let me down.Week3 Bulger scored 21pts, I won.All the blame is not on Bugler, but in both losses he's the common denominator.What do I suspect from a QB who's ADP, Ranking, and Projections have him #8? Somewhere around 20-25pts a game.Each week his number have gotten better maybe he'll reach his ADP or even outperform it. Going 0-2 or 0-3 in a very competitive league would be a great concern for anyone, in particular big money leagues.Here's for a greater playing days for Bulger

Hello gump, Bulger scored 34 pts for me and I'm currently up by 25pts. This is the type of play we're use to seeing from Bulger. I've never ask for Superman numbers but numbers that are worthy of his ADP and right now is exceeding that.Eventhough I'm up by 25 I'm still not out of the woods, but I'm very satisified with Bulger's play. The other owner played Mark Brunell who scored 33pts but 10 of those points came on that last play to Moss. Congrats on your 4-0 start, it's a long season but it looks like you're headed in the right direction.

I'm hoping it's the later...

Every week Bulger has improved this could be a sign that he's getting more comfortable with the offensive scheme. One on drive they faultered at the goal line but I believe that'll get better as well. When Bulger is healthy he's easily a top 5 QB. Believe it or not I think this is a better system for Bulger, one thing no one has mentioned is the fact the he's yet to throw an int. Under the old system he would have surely thrown at least 4 by now.

Next week Bulger is going up against Green Bay who's currently 31st against the pass and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he's the #1 QB on the FBG Cheatsheet/Projections/Rankings come week 5.

Nope, this was all done with Pace in street cloths. Hopefully we're seeing the evolution and adjustment to the Linehand O. I was really expecting continued good numbers overall for the Rams O. After seeing Linehan get some pretty impressive results (vs. good D's) at Miami, and his history in Minny. Bulger just looked flat out impressive today. There were maybe 4-5 passes that were the same thing we've seen the first 3 weeks, where the pass and route were clearly either mismatched or mis-timed. But when they were on, man was Bulger on. Throwing very quick released, tight, and perfect passes on at least a dozen occasions.I also hope that Linehan will realize that you don't ALWAYS have to run to setup the pass. Today after the 1st quarter it really looked like the light went on, and he realized that Holt, Bruce, Curtis can only be shut down by a very top tier set of DB's. In this case, you really just have to pass to setup the run.Here's to hoping they realize to do this vs. GB right off the bat

Off to a 4-0 start now with these guys. Started Favre last week, Bulger this week. Both of these guys are still great fantasy QBs -- you just have to have the confidence to switch them up based on matchups week to week. How can you not like Bulger vs the Detroit defense?

i'm playing the same juggling game with bulger and kitna...don't really care to make a decision every week but i'm 4-0 so can't complain. and yes, i picked bulger this week

I dont think you can expect him to throw 2 tds a game. That 0 td performance in week one killed me too, but ive been quite happy since then. 1.5 per week is realistic.

Grossman has been riding the pine all season, the Bulger kool-aid is just too good!My only problem this weekend is I faced the LT owner and he has the Bears Def and I'm up by 16pts. I need the Cards to light them up tonight.Anyway, Bulger has gotten comfortable with the offensive scheme and his stats prove it. He finally threw an int yesterday but I like what I'm seeing.

If you're riding Bulger, make sure you have Frerotte. Bulger missed half the year with injuries last year, and 2+ games with an injury in 2004. Frerotte knows the Linehan offense well and would probably put up at least 75% of Bulger's numbers if he was pressed into duty.
