M Robinson roster position (1 Viewer)

Just an FYI for anyone picking up Robinson (SF RB) this week. In two differant leagues, he is listed as a WR not a rb. He is listed by the NFL and San FRan as a RB but not by the league software used in 2 differant leagues, 1 being statsworld.com. So, just passing the info along. I almost screwed myself this week.

I actually received a response from statsworld.com. Here is the response. Since he was a prospect before he even wwas drafted as a WR they are keeping him as a WR. What a joke. I know it says the commish can change it but wtf kind of support is that.

Brian,

He was a WR prospect coming out of college when he was added to the

system. The team is playing him at RB. It is up to your

league/commissioner how he is listed and played in your league. Your

commissioner can edit a player's position for your league by clicking on

the Player Positions button under the Weekly Updates header on the

commissioner's green bar.

Statsworld Support,

Chris

ESPN had him listed previously as a WR, but now he's a RB. The guy who picked him up did so while he was listed as a WR, but our league only allows four RBs, and Robinson makes 5 for him.

You have the ability to change his position with three mouse clicks but you would rather force every other league on Statsworld to do what you decided? As a Statsworld commish I would like to say, Thank you Statsworld!

Robinson can be used as Running back or wide receiver in Yahoo leagues.
Come fantasy playoff time I hope to use Colston as my TE and Robinson as my third WR. So essentially, I'll have a third starting RB instead of a TE. Should be a nice advantage over any team without either Gates or Winslow.Yeah, it's a lil shady, but whatever. Anyone in my league could've done the same if they'd been on top of these two guys.

first what the hell r u talking about? The point is HE IS NOT A WR, HE IS NOT ON ANY NFL LEAGUE ROSTER AS A WR, THERFORE HIS ROSTER POSTION SHOULD BE CHANGED BY STATSWORLD TO RB. Regardless of any league commisoner would want. It benifits me if hes listed as a WR, then I can actaully ahve 3 rbs playing instead of 2. So, im not sure how this is "forcing every other league" to do what I decide. It is about a company that claims to provide the most accurate and up to date roster and league management to actaully be ACCURATE!!!! plus the $70.00 bucks we give them every year, they should ata least, respond to a mistake or overlook once it is brought to there attention, not just leave it in the hands of league commisoners. Thats what STATSWORLD is getting paid for. If this donst make sense, dont bother responding.

Fwiw, when Tags took the podium and announced the 9ers selection of Robinson, it was plain as day on the card. "San Francisco selects, Michael Robinson, Running Back, Penn State." Immediately after the draft Nolan and Robinson were interviewed separately and clarified the issue. RB was clearly the correct position for the "athlete".

Here are two different responses for you in case one doesn’t make sense; #1: I know you will find this hard to believe but your league is not the only one purchasing Statsworlds services. With the solution they provided, how your league chooses to list him has no bearing on any of the other leagues. You make a couple mouse clicks and 5 seconds later you are done. If you force Statsworld to change his position in the middle of a season then EVERY LEAGUE has to adjust, not just yours. If the Statsworld software didn't have a way to change his position (like Yahoo for example) then I could see your gripe, but it is less work to change him from a WR to a RB then it is to put your lineup in each week. Do you want to force every other league to do what you want because you spent “$70.00 bucks” and don't think you should be relegated to having to click a mouse a couple times? #2:  this donst make sense i give them $70.00 bucks every year and they are actaully making the commisoner change it even though this dont benifits me at all

That might be true, but he's only listed on ONE NFL LEAGUE ROSTER AS A RB.

True DIH, picky picky.

Again, Wrecking crew. If you have the option to move players from one postion to another as the commish, then you should do so if thats what your league wants, but, the players in the NFL should be listed at the correct position that they are listed as playing. WHy is that so hard to understand. I get your point that we can just change him in our league, I am not making this an issue of specific leagues, YOU are. HE IS NOT A FRIKING WR, HE IS A RB. He should be listed as a FRIKING RB. I dont care about my league or yours. It should be what it is. Didnt have the intention of causinga disagreement, was just putting info out there. After using footballguys for 5 years I was jsut trying to take an active part on the forumns because I do actaully have alot of valuable experiance and knowledge to share. I'm just gonna go back to minding my busines.
