in case some jerkoff decides to grab him and hold you hostage?

Do you use consider using him as a flex player?

you probably have to take him at the 8/9 turn to be sure that you get him. I think the 6/7 turn is a little early.

Personally, in a redraft, I might avoid drafting MT even as a handcuff as his price will probably be too high for the amount of use he will actually get. In a redraft, if someone screws you and takes him in the 8th, I wouldn't be surprised to see that team drop him as they realize that they need to pick up someone who will play when all of the huge bye weeks get started. The only risk is that LT gets hurt and like Peyton Manning, I would be willing to take that risk and just scoop up MT after the bye weeks get less crazy.

I, however, have a different dilemna. I can keep MT for a 9th/10th round pick in a keeper league. I know he won't be of much use to me next year and I have only a 10% chance of being the LT owner, so I need to figure out if I take the risk and hope I can draft him later in the draft. We have an odd draft in that all starting positions must be filled, so 9th/10th is the start of defenses/kickers.

I think I will suck it up and keep him based on the chance that he could be a top 15 RB in 2008 and I can keep him next year as an 8th/9th round pick.

Oh, by the way, here's  hoping that I do get the #1 pick. It would be nice once in a while to get it. :fingerscrossed: Because of my leagues odd keeper rules, there tends to be a pretty big drop off from the first couple picks to the next few to the end of the first round. Give me LT and my team would be a championship contender without batting an eye. Give me pick #8 and I will be a playoff team with a good draft, like I was last year. Solid, but no LT/LJ/2005 SA to just bank every week.

I took him at the 6/7 turn in No Mercy. I took him higher than I wanted but knew the way the draft was progressing he wasn't going to be there at the 8/9 turn. Given the number of FF points LT is responsible for I don't mind taking Turner at this pick.
