mannings decreased arm strength.. (1 Viewer)

With the reports on Manning's decreased arm strength i feel that decker now is the better value than Thomas as Thomas makes a lot of his big plays with the deep ball while decker will run the shorter possession routes...both take a little bit of a hit but thomas moreso than decker

Others thoughts?

I think he is having trouble gripping the football with much strength (evidenced by not throwing spirals with frequency). With that being said, it does favor Decker moreso than Thomas, however they both may not be as strong of plays as originally thought.

Tamme and dreesen and the RBs.

If he knows in his mind that he cant push it down field, those guys become more priority.

If he thinks he wants to avod big hits, he's going to get rid of it quicker than ever..again, those guys.

This might be a very effective dink and dunk team.

It has also been said he's had trouble throwing right. Decker lines up on the right. While a shorter game helps Decker..not being able to throw right would hurt him. However, 1. I won't bet against Peyton Manning straightening it out, and 2. Manning still has zip on his ball and is gettin better with accuracy. I think in the end the Manning to Decker combo will be fine.

I just watched the Denver-Seattle preseason game again last night on NFL network. I don't buy into the "can't throw right" or even (to a lesser extent) the "loss of arm strength" rhetoric going around. He looked fine in that game. He threw to the right and he even attacked the middle of the field fairly deep a few times.

I'm not sure if he's playing possum or people just need things to talk about. I think he'll be fine when all is said and done.
