I hear rumors NE is turning him into a slot receiver in 2023 with Meyers’s likely departure. What say you?

Grab him in IDP leagues, I say.

And oh yeah, I already did at the end of last year. Scored 51 points in our league Week 16 last year.

What say the homers to the truth of this rumor?

I have heard that he should continue to play some offense and it could be expanded a little more, but I have not heard a thing about a legit position switch.

I don’t think he’ll totally switch. Just the possibility of more offensive snaps is huuuuge. That just pads numbers in my league. Return yards, PPR points, and receiving yards—oh my!

Pats have a ton of holes and WR and CB are two of them...I think you will be able to connect some dots once you see what they do at those two positions in the next two months.

I only play in CB-required leagues, and he's exactly what you are looking for.

I think the article I linked is pretty accurate. Jones will most likely be a defender and return specialist first and foremost with a sprinkling of offensive work. There will be gadget plays and situations offensively where he will either be the primary target or a decoy. But I don't think they will use him much offensively. He played 18 offense snaps in 5 games once they tried him there last year. Maybe they throw him in for 5 or 6 snaps a game . . . based on game plan and opponent? I don't really think they are looking at him as a convert to WR. Maybe a "break glass in case of emergency" depth piece at WR.

He is not getting converted to WR...depending on what they do at CB and WR in the draft/FA (or trade market) he could get a little more run at WR or even less...so many moving parts with this roster right now.
