Clayton should approach 100 yards and has a chance at 100 yds vs the weak Cinci defense.
You mean Cleveland? He already did that last week vs Cinci.Clayton should approach 100 yards and has a chance at 100 yds vs the weak Cinci defense.
although it has probably been mentioned in all of the other threads in the Pool about Clayton this week, there are more reasons to look for Clayton to break out than just his improving health.-Boller actually has a strong arm and can get the ball down the field. His arm strength also helps with the quick slants, a route that Clayton excels at.-WR D. Williams has a high ankle sprain and will likely not return this season. Williams has been the speed WR Boller targeted earlier in the year with the 20+ yard routes. Clayton is now the speed guy.-T. Heap is out again this week. Heap has always been Boller's redzone and 3rd down guy, those targets will now be split with the remaining TE and the WRs. -The Bmore secondary is still banged up. Both starting corners are out again this week and Safety Ed Reed is still dinged. The defense will be tested and give up a lot in the passing game. If the Ravens are down, as they have been since the corners have been out, they're going to have to air it out to be competitive.Clayton becomes a flex option or decent WR3 with a lot of upside. You mean Cleveland? He already did that last week vs Cinci.Clayton should approach 100 yards and has a chance at 100 yds vs the weak Cinci defense.
Link? I last saw him as a game time decision. IF he plays, I think he benefits more from Clayton's return than Clayton himself.-T. Heap is out again this week. Heap has always been Boller's redzone and 3rd down guy, those targets will now be split with the remaining TE and the WRs.
Billick says he's doubtful and unlikely to play.Link? I last saw him as a game time decision. IF he plays, I think he benefits more from Clayton's return than Clayton himself.-T. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/footbal...opinion-lettersRavens tight end Todd Heap will likely miss Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns at M&T Bank Stadium, coach Brian Billick said after the team worked out today at Owings Mills. Heap reinjured his hamstring trying to catch a jump-ball pass in the end zone in last Sunday's 21-7 home loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Though the injury report won't be officially released until later today, Billick said that Heap was "doubtful."
http://www.ravens24x7.com/column_view.php?...mp;view=archiveINJURY UPDATE: Billick all but ruled out tight end Todd Heap, who didn't practice all week due to a strained hamstring and is listed as questionable.
"Doubtful," Billick replied when asked if there was any chance Heap would play.
Noticed that Clayton has really moved up in the FBG week 11 rankings in the last few days. I'm thinking of starting him over Cotchery.Louisville Slugger said:Clayton should approach 100 yards and has a chance at 100 yds vs the weak Cinci defense.
Clayton's matchups down the stretch aren't all that great, but if the Ravens offense can get on track a little bit with Boller, and with Demetrius Williams our for the rest of the year, Clayton is the only deep threat they have. His value increases with Boller playing QB because of his arm strength.I would say he's just a WR3 and flex option, and then play the matchups. He does have Miami in week 15 if you make it that far. Nov 25 @ SDG 13 Dec 3 NWE 14 Dec 9 IND 15 Dec 16 @ MIA 16 Dec 23 @ SEAeveryone seems to be in agreement that clayton is a good play this week, but what are your predictions for the rest of the season? does he have value as a wr3 or flex or do you think he is just a spot start vs. cleveland?
unfortunately-Absolute doodoo.
I think there were a lot of us who drank the Kool Aid today. I know I did.Shame on me for believing in Clayton. He stunk today.
If my Aunt had balls she'd be my Uncle.Boller's INT was thrown short on a deep pass to Clayton. If Boller hit him in stride, it was an easy TD.
There are plenty of examples of when FF turns to luck, but I completely disagree with this. This was a result of Clayton being superhyped after the Bengals game. This was the 5th time Mark Clayton has had under 15 yards in a game (that he's received targets in). And don't point to health because remember that he has "been healthy" since week 3 and hasn't done much since then. That includes games v. CLE, SF and STL.This offense is still one of the most unpredictable in the NFL. You can't really count on this guy no matter who they play. This is one of those examples of FF success being a result of luck. Clayton looked like a great play, especially with the match up against CLE.![]()
I think you were thinking of the "other" Mark Clayton. He retired many, many years ago.Clayton should approach 100 yards and has a chance at 100 yds vs the weak Cinci defense.
Who's Boeller? And I drank the cool aid for the last time. Finally dropped him for Michael Pittman. So you can bet he now takes off.I know I have seen talk about Clayton benefiting from the change to Boeller. Is there any stats that supports that or is it all wishful thinking? Also, opportunity isn't the only aspect of picking a sleeper - it was a great opportunity for Clayton but he's still got Boeller at QB.
I would like to thank all those who touted Clayton this week,my opponent picked him off the waiver wire and started him. Thank you all so much for feeding him the kool-aid.
