Saints RB
Mark Ingram
was unable to practice for a second straight day Thursday because of a right turf toe injury, hurting his chances of playing Week 14 against the Titans.
(Updated 12/08/2011).
Coach Sean Payton said on Wednesday that he has no problems with sitting Ingram since he is happy with his depth at RB, so that could be a strong indication that he won't press Ingram into action Week 14. It's a shame too since Ingram has scored in two straight games and is starting to produce regularly for the Saints and Fantasy owners. Track his progress. If he plays Week 14, then consider him a No. 3 Fantasy RB. But it's probably best to line up healthier alternatives.
Mark Ingram (turf toe) was held out of practice again on Thursday. Our sense is that the Saints will take advantage of their backfield depth, plugging in a healthy Chris Ivory as the inside, short-yardage runner while allowing Ingram to rest for a week. It's time to take Ingram out of all fantasy lineups. Dec 8 - 2:39 PM

Mark Ingram was held out of Saints practice Wednesday with a case of turf toe on his right foot. It's bad news for a player who appeared to be finally settling into a groove after missing Weeks 8 and 9 with a heel injury. Ingram has led the Saints in rushing each of the past two weeks, finding the end zone twice. Turf toe has a tendency to linger, and almost always costs players at least one game. Ingram's status will be updated on Thursday, but he should initially be considered unlikely to play against the Titans. Dec 7 - 3:06 PMSource: Jeff Duncan on Twitter
