Mark Ingram (2 Viewers)

didn't somebody just post something like 'thank god for ingram or I wouldn't have a rb left'?
I suspect that is a not terribly uncommon situation.

In one of my leagues I got Peterson back, but lost Ingram, almost simultaneously lol

In another with Ingram I also have Pierre Thomas and will probably have to roll with him.

The third one I'm going to be at, like, Sproles and Pierre for RB's...geeeez

Ugh. This injury on top of Moreno, Mathews, and a couple of others is just killing me.

I'm not being a jerk, but hasn't Ingram not only been stuck in the NO committee that has no reason nor rhyme, but has also had a pretty extensive injury history?

Anyway, I'm a former Ingram hater and Brees owner (former because Ingram looked actually fast in preseason). He was going to kill me if they kept running the ball at their current pace. Full disclosure.

I just traded Ingram for R. Wayne...I'm happy about it given my situation. If the cards were different, maybe not so much.

I went WR/WR to start (picked last) and got AJ and D. Thomas. I then went on to build a stable of RB's in Spiller, J. Bell, Ingram, Pierce, Hyde, and Asiata (added). My WR3 was Hartline or Jennings...Now, I'm headed into likely 2 weeks with out AJ, and I was really OK with any of Spiller/Bell/Ingram/Pierce starting most weeks, but Wayne would start every week, so I took it.

He may boom...but I think it's equally as likely this will be his best 2 week stretch of the season. Who knows...
hopefully this is ppr. If so, probably a decent trade. If not, it was a horrible trade.
0.5ppr...Like I said, not considering situations, I think I could've gotten more...but I feel a lot better starting D. Thomas, Wayne, and Jennings/Hartline/James Jones along side some combination of Spiller/Bell/Pierce and Asiata than I would starting D. Thomas and 2 of the 3 lower-level WR's and RB's with Ingram. Plus, when AJ comes back from his turf toe, I'll have argueable the best starting WR corps in the league.
Feeling good about this trade now...but feeling bad for the guy I traded with. Just got a message "did you know Ingram was hurt when you traded him?"

I honestly didn't...I hope that it doesn't get veto'ed somehow now. I really need Wayne, and made the trade at like 9 AM. He even picked Ingram out of all my RB's...I don't think the news about Ingram broke until later in the day. I know there's nothing I could've done here, but I still feel bad.

Realistic expectations for Khiry over the next few weeks?
10-12 carries, 40-60 yds, .5 td a game  middling rb2-flex
Sounds like a good time to sell him off with any hype the Ingram injury might create. A future 2nd round rookie pick?
Those are really low numbers IMO. Ingram and Robinson combined for 19/101/2 a game.

I expect Khiry to pick up more of the slack than PT.

Through 2 games, the 3 NO RBs has 249 yards on 48 carries with 4 TDs; and 13 receptions for another 96 yards. That's an average of 24 carries for 124 yards and 2 TDs with 6.5 receptions for 48 yards - against two below average defenses. If that's split between PT and Khirty now, we're talking 12 for 62 yards and a TD, with 3 catches for 24 yards per guy.

Not sure those numbers are really that low.

I don't expect there to be a 50/50 split in carries when PT was only getting 20% of carries before Ingram's injury (and less than Robinson).

Khiri is going to explode.
He just might. Even if he splits evenly with Thomas which would be the minimum, he could rack up some numbers. But I think he'll get the majority of the carries. I don't think they want to ram Thomas into the line over and over again or at the goal line.

Well if you are holding MI, the bright side is this could mean he'll have fresh legs during the 2nd half of the season when Khiry and the D's are worn down.

Not an owner of either but I am thinking that Thomas is the one that will be golden in Ingrams absence. He knows the offense, can catch, runs hard. Seems like a no brainer to me. Long term I have no clue but for the next 4 weeks I would want PT.

This ^^^^^^^^

KR is good. He's probably going to lead this committee for the next few weeks, but he's not as good a runner as Ingram has been. I think a lot of Parcells and all, but him comparing KR to Curtis Martin was kind of silly.

That being said, in the league that I own Robinson, I'm starting him with confidence next week in the dome.

Is Ingram droppable now? By the time he comes back the season will be half over. Is his injury something a RB can come back at 100%?

With all the injuries to high profile players this week? I have to. And they aren't like 1 week injuries, they're 3-4 or more week injuries!

Mark Ingram - RB - Saints

Mark Ingram underwent surgery to have two screws inserted into his broken hand.

Ingram suffered the injury in the first half of Sunday's loss to the Browns, but played through it. It was a displaced fracture, so there was no way he could play through it this week. Coach Sean Payton doesn't expect Ingram to miss much time. Khiry Robinson will handle to lead-back duties while Ingram is out.

If he's on the waiver, should I pick him up? I mean is he good enough to displace Crowell's potential and Steven Jackson starting role? I alreayd have foster and picked up Asiata and Knile davis so I'm not looking for short term investments
