I actually ended up starting high tower and Ingram together. It worked out great I just quoted the wrong post - I meant to quote my post from this AM.It is???
Oh ok haha... that makes more sense.I actually ended up starting high tower and Ingram together. It worked out great I just quoted the wrong post - I meant to quote my post from this AM.![]()
probably the right call at the timeBenched Ingram for Chacandrick West ??
Doesn't look like it will matter, so I can LOL at myself! ?probably the right call at the time
Hightower rest of way in 2016, sans a big hiccup.
Droppable for sure now. Amazing.
Nope. INgram averaging over 10/carry, HIghtower still getting 4 straight touches in the fourth qtr.Hightower fumble. will he get benched
3-score lead, under 5 minutes. Most teams run their backup in that situation.Nope. INgram averaging over 10/carry, HIghtower still getting 4 straight touches in the fourth qtr.
Makes no sense
I will sit him next week because I can, and see how this thing plays out.Pulled off a trade last night to land Demarco Murray n one league I owned INgram...and that let me bench him today. While I wish he were still in my lineup, this useage give me no confidance for the future
It's always been one.Don't fool yourself in thinking this is anything other than a rbbc
The problem is that after the circus this season has been you (and every other owner) is thinking "sell high! The Frankman said:This feels like a "Sell High" performance if there ever was.
"
"Playoffs, Saints play Bucs twice. I want to own Ingram for that stretch.
Ingram/Hightower and Martin owner hoping to have some mega RB1 performances![]()
I have Brees, Thomas, Snead and Ingram, + Evans.
im thinking happy thoughts.
Oh i have Hightower too.Ingram/Hightower and Martin owner hoping to have some mega RB1 performances
Of course you can't, you hope you can nab a Gurley (another RB1 who's an RB2 right now) or luck into a RB who has disappointed his owner also. The problem is that after the circus this season has been you (and every other owner) is thinking "sell high!"
.....and everyone who doesn't own him is thinking "buy low!"
They played the Niners tissue paper run D in a blowout with Hightower having a significant role, and a TD.
No one's paying top dollar for Ingram right now
All told I'm standing pat. If you want to sell you're gonna have to let Ingram prove it over the next couple weeks.
One guy's opinion.
Great point. As my RB2 behind DJohnson I can afford to be more patient. The other alternative depends if you drafted him as your RB1 IHMO (if he's your 2nd RB you can probably survive): strengthen your other positions so you can offset the damage if he puts up a 3-5 point performance.
Didn't watch the game huh?it sucks to be so worried about him ROS after a performance like this. but facts are facts. hightower did have more carries, hopefully this was because they were up and it's the backup running more. not as worried that hightower started the game since ingram fumbled in the last game. ingram did more with his carries including one monster run for td, which we can't count on most weeks. payton is still payton. i'm glad i ended up sticking with him in my starting lineup, but it really doesn't make me feel any better about his situation. all of you naysayers seem to be correct for a change.![]()
Great post. Totally unbiased.Didn't watch the game huh?
Hightower started and was doing well (as was the Saints offense) and he had many more carries then Ingram. On 3rd series Ingram entered got 1 carry.
Next drive (4th by NO) they split carries. End result is 21-3 Saints lead with both backs having 1 TD. 11-3 edge to Tim in the 2nd quarter.
Then the "hiccup" occurred ... Mark Ingram rips off a 75 yard TD with 5 minutes left in the half. He hadn't gone past 17 yards in a run all season, until he did from the back-up position.
From that point on it was an almost even split.
This is my thoughts as well. After this performance I'm wondering if it's time to sell. Not trusting this guy next week either. You have no clue what you're going to get.
The problem is, NO doesn't play the SF run D every week.Bottom line is that Ingram still touched the ball within 2 of his average normal touches week to week. He's always been in a committee. It's just that now Hightower seems to be dominating what is usually spread around quite a bit. Also, Brees attempted less passes than normal, and those snaps also went to Hightower. If Ingram keeps getting his normal touches, I guess I won't complain, especially if Hightower is tenderizing the defense with this hard fought sub 4 yards per carry.

The total rushing attempt pie will shrink against tougher run Ds and lousier game scripts.
We'll be right back to where we have been with Ingram.
This is probably the best sell high moment in fantasy history.
Definitely the highest you can sell Ingram this season. i dished him last week on one team and im going to do my best to get rid of him on my other team this week.Yes, I'm expecting to be right back where we were with Ingram this season, and that's a solid RB2 who has some really nice weeks and some middling weeks. It is what it is, but I don't think it's the disaster that people are making it out to be. Good luck trying to sell high, though. The problem is, NO doesn't play the SF run D every week.

So, who did you get for him? And, who are you targeting this week?Definitely the highest you can sell Ingram this season. i dished him last week on one team and im going to do my best to get rid of him on my other team this week.
Exactly. The concept of "buy low" (under-performing stud) or "sell high" doesn't exist in most leagues i'm in. People tend to pay attention to why a player is available, I doubt there's ever been a more suspicious demographic than FF players when it comes to trades.Yes, I'm expecting to be right back where we were with Ingram this season, and that's a solid RB2 who has some really nice weeks and some middling weeks. i traded ingram, dion and cobb for ware. Had an excess of rbs. As far as who i am targeting? Not sure yet.So, who did you get for him? And, who are you targeting this week?
