Mark Sanchez is overvalued right now by the NFL (1 Viewer)

Just to avoid the inevitable deletion/edit:

Although Mark Sanchez may someday be a viable NFL QB, there is no way he is top 10 material. He threw the ball inconsistently and his decision making was inconsistent as well given the protection he was afforded. Further, he has marginal athleticism. I'm not a long-winded post type, but these three areas make him feel much more like a 2nd or 3rd round QB to me.Just wanted to go on record and state that Mark Sanchez is a huge reach if selected in the top 10.
Looks like I hit the nail on the head...again. :coffee:
C'mon you are a good poster with good knowledge when you want to be but you don't need to bump your chest. You have some right and wrong like everyone. Sanchez does blow though.

Meh, thought it would be fun to look back. Some good, some bad.

It's all good. You've been posting some good stuff and getting good dialogue although I don't agree with your Pats stance (and I hate the Pats). :)

I honestly think I'm better than half of the GMs in the NFL.It's quite shocking how bad some of the calls these guys make are.
Who would of known that a guy who started like 12 college games would struggle in the NFL?Is this your ploy at trying to deflect from all your bad calls? Sanchez? That is what you have?I may be confused, but did anyone ever think Sanchez was good?

I actually thought he would be pretty good. I loved the way he played at sc and have been surprised that he is so bad throwing downfield. I thought comparisons to delhomme and hasselbeck were fitting I expected a qb that stood tall in the pocket and led his team with confidence. What I got was, well, mark sanchez.

He had a decent deep ball when Braylon was in NY and they actually had someone who could get deep.Even stood tall in the pocket.... When there was a pocket to speak of.I stand by everything I've said about Sanchez leading with #1 I NEVER would have drafted him! But, if you do draft him and you move up to get him you need to surround him with talent and improve the offense every year. The Jets? They took away talent - The Running game is much worse, the OL is worse and his targets have changed every year, for the worse.Could you have drafted a young inexperienced QB and handled it any worse?
