What's the better play tonight? Morris or Maroney?
IIRC, the new injury rules require that players that miss practice appear on the injury report. Faulk was listed as probable to begin with and no longer appears on the injury report at all.In Faulk's case, I don't see any reason why he wouldn't play tonight and I don't know what the "team decision" involved. I doubt I'll be able to find out much more about Faulk's absence from the other day any time soon . . .David, thanks for the intel. What is your take on the fact that Faulk was kept out of practice as a "team decision" earlier in the week? While I am biased towards believing the superficial story (Maroney is nursing a groin pull), nuggets like this make we wonder....I would encourage people to take this at face value and not some ploy by Belichick. My source close to the team has informed me that Maroney playing or not playing will be a game time decision based on how he looks/feels/moves in practice.
I have both and I'm starting Morris. What's the better play tonight? Morris or Maroney?
ESPN just reported that he did make the trip and they expect him to play, although it's not set in stone.
Interesting. Here's my take: I view the Bengals as miserably soft against the run, and even if Maroney gets 10-12 carries, I thinks he's a safe bet for 100+ yards and one score. The other thing about tonight is that I expect him to have quite a few receptions. BB has CIN completely unprepared for what Maroney and B Watson will do tonight. Expect 200+ yards and 3 TD's between them.I would be pretty surprised to see him get 125 yards and 2 TDs like some are talking in the various Maroney threads . . .
So Maroney, who is so banged up that he almost didn't make the trip and is a GTD, is a safe bet to get 100+1 on only 10-12 carries (that he'll be lucky to get in the 1st place).Okey dokey.Interesting. Me too and I feel your pain. I am watching the game tonight with the guy I am playing this week and I hold a narrow lead He has Palmer so it probably won't matter who I play because he will likely outscore both combined but it would be nice to at least have someone in the game for me while we watch. I still have Maroney in the lineup because I love his matchup but at least Watson is certain to play.Sometimes I hate FF...OK Maroney/Watson Owner.
Maroney will start per Sal Pal.What did Sal Pal just report?
Don't trust Belichick if you don't have to.I have seen him "start" C.Dillon for a single series + then never come back into the game.Look for S.Morris to be the man in a blow out tonight. What did Sal Pal just report?
Ill take the overI'm taking the under on the prop bet for Maroney tonight. (91.5 yards)
Straight from rotoworld:ESPN's Sal Paolantonio reports Laurence Maroney will start Monday night.Sammy Morris will come off the bench, and continue to be a threat for goal-line carries. Maroney remains an excellent play in the matchup against a Bengals defense that will likely be without its two top middle linebackers (Ahmad Brooks and Caleb Miller) and was already porous defending the run.clowns, WTF?Thought I just heard the reporter detailing the Pats for Monday Night Countdown, say he's been declared Inactive for tonights game.
I'd vote Morris.who is a better start tonight...Morris or Watson?

Which one faces the softest D?That's your answer.who is a better start tonight...Morris or Watson?
You and me both...I tried to pick up Watson and thought I could drop a player on a bye week. But no soup for me. Lovely. This is going to cost me a win.Ugh. Crap I just realized that if I try and pick someone up on yahoo it won't let me play them until week 5. Fantastic.

oh well... wasted a roster spot in my line up... this is why I plug in both guys... hope Sammy gets 30 carries.Id have to think this makes Kevin Faulk a slight factor tonite. Morris will probably get the bulk of the carries, but Id bet a Tom Brady rookie card that theyll be pass happy tonite.
I think youre looking at 70yds and 2 scores tonite from Sammy. Ive got a feeling the Pats are scoring 5 or 6 TDs tonite, and I can see Morris capitalizing on a chance to shine on Monday night.
