My friend who works at Gillette stadium told me last nite that M.Lynch has been seen at the stadium a few times this week...and the rumor amongst the employees is he`s being traded to the pats...again take it as a rumor and just something to keep an eye on...dont kill the messenger

The Bills are playing at Gillette today...

So if you have J. Stewart in 12 team league would you drop him and grab Lynch in hopes that this comes about. I don't know when the trade deadline is? BUt I would want to move on this ASAP if there is a good chance it could happen.

I may be wrong but i doubt opposing players visit the stadium there going to be playing in earlier during the week more than once...but who`s to say

WOW. This is an AMAZING coincidence. In the very same week Lynch is at the stadium because of a possible trade, the team happens to be playing there too?! Somebody call Ripley's!

No need to jump all over the guy for passing on what he heard. While I'd be surprised if the rumor had legs, stranger things have happened as witnessed by the McNabb trade.

The Pats aren't stupid. They're using this week's game as a cover so nobody would be the wiser.Way to blow it up, guy.

Other than a whiff of potential that doesn't exist in Buffalo, this doesn't sound much more exciting than the Bills.

Part of another 3 or 4 RB committee on a team that has run the ball 43 times all season? No thanks.

If this story actually does have legs i cant see marshawn getting the majority of carries against the team he would be traded to in a couple of days...If Lynch gets 15 plus carries today than i would assume this rumor is bogus. If he hardly gets any than maybe.....

Yeah but is it normal for a player to visit a team before he's traded to them? It's not like he'd need to travel to NE to negociate a contract or anything like that.

agreed

True but the difference is that McNabb had a say in where he went...Lynch has no say.

The Pats traded Bledsoe to the Bills, so these teams have a history of inter-division trading. Though I highly doubt Lynch is going to NE.

Perhaps Lynch visited the Pats on his own. There's a negative perception of Lynch, taking the initiative to visit a team in person could create a positive impression. Maybe the Pats take a closer look at how he plays today than they normally would.

Yeah I can see the Bills trading/helping out their division foe with a RB... :sarcasm:
I don't know about this. The Bills arent really playing for the playoffs this year and have no reason to care if Lynch goes to a division rival or not. They are in serious rebuilding mode. By the time the Bills finish rebuilding and are ready to be a serious rival again the Brady era will just about be over. If trading Lynch to the Pats is best trade they can find they should do it.

Perhaps they requested a physical? Not saying it make sense, but it would give him reason to be in the stadium prior to game day.

I would think the opposite--showcase him. (?)

Normally I would agree. But the Bills are so bad with no chance of competing it doesn't matter. Its not quite as bad as trading your starting Pro Bowl QB to a division foe when you are an annual contender (see Philly Eagles)

No need to showcase him. BB has seen Lynch a ton of times and they have film of him, they know what he can do. If they are going to trade for him, he sits because you don't want to risk injury before a trade.

This would be tampering.

Many, many people told us on the MB last week that Buffalo was showcasing him for Green Bay. Green Bay didn't have film on him??? I guess that was wrong.
