I remember like it was yesterday. My dad bought tickets for my 13th birthday (which was the day before) to go watch Chicago play. I got to watch Ernie Nevers rush for 6 TD's, and also kick 4 EP's.
On the infamous play In the 2nd game I remember what I saw.....the backs of 37 rows of adults all standing up at once and blocking my view - I only knew the Eagles had scored when I saw Edwards and the other guys jumping up and down in the endzone a couple seconds later

Same here regarding the Pack at County Stadium - not sure if it was 1979 or 1980.
I remember Dickey was definitely the QB, Eddie Lee Ivery ("live together in perfect harmony") was at RB, James Lofton at WR and Chester Marcol was the kicker.

Late 60's. We are Giants fans but you couldn't get a ticket. So my Dad took me to Shea Stadium to see Joe Willie and The Jets play Don Shula's Dolphins.
It was a blowout for The Fins. Joe took a beating all day. But something I'll never forget because it was my first time.

I don’t think I ever went to a lions game despite living in Detroit over 20 years. Went to the Silverdome for concerts but not a game.
Titans in 2000 or 2001. Honestly I don’t remember.
We always liked college ball just a bit more.
Technically my 1st game was an AFL game between the Bills and Jets at Shea Stadium, maybe '64 or '65. I remember a banner for Jets linebacker Wahoo McDaniels (later became a wrestler) and that Cookie Gilchrist was leading the league in rushing. The Jets held him in check until late in the game when he broke off a long TD run to seal the Bills victory. I'm curious now as to the particulars of the game so I'm going to see if I can find the box score on Pro Football Reference. Great thread!
