Any update on Lynch? Last I saw he was a Q.

Jackson might be a nice play against Miami if Lynch is ruled out.

Marshawn Lynch (ankle) returned to a full practice on Wednesday.Lynch ran with the first-team offense, indicating the Bills hope to have him start or at least split action with Fred Jackson against Miami. The Buffalo News reports he limped slightly, but estimates it's 75 percent Lynch will play.

Even if Lynch does play, you know that Jackson has at least earned more time as a change-of-pace back if anything. It still sounds like Lynch isn't 100%, so you never know what the split will be. You gotta love the matchup against the dolphins, but this might be a gamble for the first week of FF playoffs.

Reporter Chris Brown noted that Lynch was moving well, but was still favoring the ankle at times. That probably means he's still not a sure thing for this week.

Damn I have both of them. If they split carries what a nightmare for owners in the first week of playoffs!

Looks like Gore and Dayne for now...meh! :wall:

That may be true, but if Lynch starts.........Jackson doesn't even qualify as a RB12

Jauron hasn't shown he's an RBBC kind of guy. I'd guess that if Lynch is healthy, he gets the vast majority of the carries, but if he's gimpy, thenJackson gets the vast majority of the carries.

Yeah, I'm a Bills fan, and I have both of these guys on my roster. Neither would be a good option as a part timer, the offense just isn't productive enough to merit that.

As a Lynch owner I am happy that Jauron didnt rush this guy back and I was fortunate to win my games by using A-Train one week and Jackosn the next, but it looks like its Marshawn time!!

Good luck to all the Marshawn owners out there!!

Lynch was quoting as saying he wants to play but if not this week definatley next week.

He also said he was more and more sore as the practice goes on.

I hope they don't rush him back. He is needed for the Cleveland game. I hope Freddy Jackson and Wright can help Buffalo to a W vs. Miami at home.

neither of those statements sound very positive to me for Lynch....Oh well since I have both Jackson and Willie (who plays the late game), I guess I will just have to wait for the GTD that this is starting to smell like.

:pickle: I'd rather have Lynch at 90-100% against the Browns than push it against the Dolphins and end up not playing or playing at 50% versus the Browns. If the Bills can't beat the Dolphins with Jackson at RB, than they're not playoff material anyway. I hope the Bills save Lynch another week and unload a fresh Lynch against Cleveland.

It will be interesting to hear how the ankle reacts the day after practicing. If there is a lot of pain and/or swelling he may sit another week.

Marshawn Lynch-RB-Bills Dec. 5 - 4:30 pm et

In his post-practice press conference Wednesday, coach **** Jauron stressed that Marshawn Lynch will not play in Week 14 if there is a distinct possibility of him re-injuring his high ankle sprain.

As we've seen with Jesse Chatman, Frank Gore, and D.J. Hackett, ankle sprains can easily be re-aggravated. Lynch says his is usually a two-month injury; he's now on week four. As for Lynch's Week 14 status, much will depend on how he responds on Thursday to Wednesday's rigorous workout.

"Lynch (ankle) practiced for a second straight day on Thursday, the Bills' official site reports. He received reps with the first team, but is also still favoring his ankle slightly."

Juron should speak on the issue after practice but will likely not say anything definitive.

well, if anyone has Jauron's update let us know. It looks good for lynch owners...Unfortunately I am a desperate Fred Jackson owner, and am crossing my fingers for just one more week.

Jauron Optimistic About Lynch

by Chris Brown, Lead Journalist Last Updated: 12/6/2007 1:59 PM ET

Bills head coach **** Jauron said how Marshawn Lynch's ankle responded to his first day of practice Wednesday would be an indication as to his chances of playing Sunday. Lynch not only practiced a second straight day, but took the majority of first team reps.

"He was limited, but only really by definition," said Jauron. "Normally he'd get more reps. Before he got hurt he got more reps than he got today, but he was in the normal rotation pretty much. He just didn't get as many (reps) as he normally gets."

Still he took more first team reps than Fred Jackson. As a result Jauron feels good about Lynch's chances of returning to the lineup for the first time in a month.

"He looked good," Jauron said. "He tolerated yesterday's practice pretty well, so we're optimistic."

Lynch has always been optimistic saying he would have tried to play, if given the opportunity, two weeks ago. Waking up Thursday morning a day after practicing on it Lynch feels his ankle has made progress.

"It's still sore, but it's better than it was yesterday," Lynch told Buffalobills.com.

"He still gets treatment on it, but he said it felt pretty good," said Jauron.

If Lynch can play Sunday it remains to be seen how extensive his workload will be, knowing he's probably not pain free. Perhaps that's why Buffalo's head coach was still reserving judgment in terms of how much of a difference he'll make for an offense that has struggled to score points.

"If he's out there we'll find out," said Jauron. "He played last time against them and it was a very tough game. We've just got to perform well, but it's good to have him back. He's a real good football player."

I'm not going to bold anything because it paints a picture as a whole. It looks good for Marshawn to play this week. It sounds like Jauron saw what he wanted to see today.

Edited to take out a tidbit I saw in another article. It stated further that Jauron would likely limit Marshawn in practice tomorrow to let his ankle get a better couple days to heal.

According to the bills website it appears the freddy jackson train has left the station, welcome back Marshawn!!

Bumping to keep this on the first page.

I'm sure I'm not the only Bush owner paying close attention to the status of the Lynch-Jackson situation. Crossing fingers and hoping this is more gamesmanship on the part of Jauron (big stretch I know ...).

if the Bills blow them out(unlikely) they might bench Lynch for the second half, who knows.I'd expect Jackson to get a lot of work, they won't give the ball to Lynch 20 times, I'm sure it'll be a RBBC of sorts.

and it seems to me that Lynch might be coming back too early from what doctors were saying was an 8-week injury..

we'll see what happens, but Gore came back too early, and re-injured himself.

disclaimer:

Stop beggin people. Lynch is playing and even if Jackson gets worked in a bit his touches wont equal a RB12 let alone RB2 or RB3.

Lynch is the only Bills RB worth a damn in this game.

Have to agree with you there Magnum; Lynch is starting and featuring unless he gets nicked up in game.

I would agree if Lynch is playing. But if Lynch is not playing, and Jackson sees the bulk of the carries, he is very easily a RB2 against a poor Miami team.
