Marty Booker (1 Viewer)

I nabbed Booker in the 11th round of my draft yesterday so it's not like I invested much in him.'

Last year he put up 686 yds and 3TDs while missing 3 games and having Gus Freaking Frerotte throwing the rock.

I'm thnking he has a very legit shot at 800 - 900 yds / 6-8 TDs with Chambers drawing more attention and C-Pep now at QB for Miami.

Anyone else feel like he is a nice late round sleeper with solid upside ?

Pepper was on the down side in Minny, I don't see the WR's improving that much with him. I do think R. Brown has a big season running the ball in FIN town. The guys I like late in redrafts are Wilson Pitt, and Jennings G.B.

Booker is a steal late. CPep looks to be all the way back, and they will have a better running game than they had in MIN. That will make the passing game much better

I do think that Booker has some nice sleeper potential,...i would have grabbed him in the later rounds of our free agent draft, but he was snagged a few picks before i thought i could get him ( and i was trying to bite for him a tad earlier then i thought he should go ).

I love Booker. I have him in all my leagues. From rnd 10 to15 depending on how the draft is going.

I also have Peerless Price in all, Last rnds.

I absolutely love Ronnie Brown this year but I never even got close to having a chance to get the guy.Expect C-Pep to vulture at least a couple goal line TDs though.

Wilson Pitt ? You mean Cedrick Wilson in Pitt ? Not even on my radar. I'm just not crazy about the #2 WR on a Team that likes to run .. then run ... then run some more. Randle El was the #2 last year and put up a paltry 558 and 1TD. However, I'll add him to my list of players to watch and if he turns out to be something .... well, lets just say you called your shot !

If Jennings can unseat Ferguson then he may be a decent sleeper.

However, I gotta totally disagree with you that C-Pep is on the down side. Just 2 years ago he had 39 Passing TDs , 2 Rushing and 4717 yards passing.

Last year ... um, he lost some guy named Randy Moss and was injured in week #8. In the 6 games he played before the injury he averaged 256 yards passing and had 7 TDs ( 6 passing and 1 rushing ) .... again ... all without that Randy Moss guy.

Now he seems to be healthy and has another monster receiver named Chris Chambers who is [sarcasm on]sort of talented[/sarcasm off] and put up 1118 / 11 last year with Freotte at QB.

So, what exactly do you think C-Pep will do this year if he is on the "downside".

Maybe your draft has not happened yet and you don't want to give anything away to the other guys in your league who read posts here or you know something the rest of the FF community does not know ? Because I just don't see how anyone does not thing C-Pep will bounce back this year.

OK, he may not have 40+ TDs ...... but 28 - 30+ TDs passing and rushing combined is certainly not out of the question !

:goodposting: I am one of the only guys in my league to draft a QB late. I had the 7/8 turn targeted to take Leftwich (sleeper and undervalued IMO). Cpep was at the 5/6 turn and I couldn't pass him up because he has a legit chance of 30 TDs, most QBs don't.

Packers | Jennings takes over as No. 2 WRFri, 1 Sep 2006 20:16:31 -0700Bob McGinn, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers rookie WR Greg Jennings has taken over for WR Robert Ferguson as the team's No. 2 wide receiver. It came to light Friday, Sept. 1, after the Packers' 35-21 preseason loss to the Tennessee Titans when Jennings matter-of-factly mentioned that he had been informed of his promotion by wide receivers coach Jimmy Robinson before practice Wednesday, Aug. 30. Jennings will become the team's first wide receiver to become a full-fledged starter as a rookie since WR Sterling Sharpe in 1988. Jennings led the team in receiving in three of the four exhibitions and was second in the other game.

I think that Cpep will have a good year this year, and Chambers will hover around the top 10 maybe 7 maybe 13 but he's up there, and that will mean doubles for him. That will mean Booker can get open a little more,...remember he used to be the man for DA BEARS,..and never had a Cpep throwing to him,..so you can slide him up on your No. 2 recivers list, not directly behind Wayne or Houshmanzadah, but climbing his way up.

Unfortunately, Chambers is quickly turninginto a fantasy bust.
