Team president Bill Polian said Thursday he does not expect perennial Pro Bowl receiver Marvin Harrison, defensive player of the year Bob Sanders or former sacks champion Dwight Freeney to be ready to start training camp in July. With veterans, training camp probably isn't as big of a deal as it is with younger players, but this doesn't sound good at all.
The fork has been permanetly lodged people.

What would the cap hit be if he was cut?

He is from Philly originally, and they do need a better WR1 option.

I'm just speculating, of course. If he's done, he's done - but I could see the Eagles wanting a viable Harrison. Not sure about that "viable" part though.....

(Just wanted to start the Harrison to Philly rumor :lmao: ).

I wouldn't write him off just yet.

What exactly happened to him that has so severely limited him? I've never seen anything definitive, maybe too many tastycakes for Starvin Marvin.

If this is the end of the road for him though, Here's too ya Marvin, :banned: you were one of the guys I loved to watch and loved to get on the old fantasy squad when I could!

Harrison had surgery.......he is recovering and they are not going to rush him back....want him for the season.....not training camp.....Why is it when a player like Harrison and Rudi have one season where injuries hurt their production and all of the sudden they are DONE.....

Because they're done???

Because they both had one season where an injury hurt their production???????? I guess I am not in that camp.....They both will have solid 2008 seasons if healthy.

Because of age and mileage/usage thus far in their careers. Particularly in Marvin's case, it's not as easy for a 35 year old to come back from injury/surgery, as a younger player. Not to mention the sharp drop off in performance historically for players of his age. I would say Marvin has two strikes against him and I for one will be staying far, far away from him. Someone else may benefit from Harrison making a great comeback, it just won't be me...
