Rice Quote

In a Q&A with the New York Post, NFL legend Jerry Rice named Marvin Harrison as the best receiver in the league. "He and Peyton Manning have great chemistry," Rice said. "These guys are unstoppable. Marvin Harrison is a little guy who works hard. He doesn't score so many touchdowns, but when he does it is almost a scenario that, 'I have done that before.' He doesn't look for different things to try and draw attention to himself. The numbers they are putting up are unbelievable."

(Updated 11/17/2006).

Harrison has scored at least 10 TD's the last 7 years(89 total) for an average of 12.7 TD's a season. I guess when you compare it to Jerry's numbers he falls short but what other receiver can say they have scored that many TD's over a 7 year stretch? Jerry scored 100 TD's from 1986-92.

Moss scored that many in his first 7 years, and TO is close. But your point is taken; Harrison isn't as flashy as TO or Moss but he produced right along with them, even before they both decided to cause problems for themselves.
