If there's a good reason to ding Forte on your draft boards, it has nothing to do with Michael Bush. It has to do with Jay Cutler's comments...and I don't know if any Bears coaches have chimed in on this, but maybe...saying Forte stands to see less work in the passing game than he has in years past. If he's not among the league's most prolific receivers out of the backfield, THEN his lack of TD potential becomes a far bigger deal, because the reliable looks and yardage out of the backfield go a long way toward normalizing his week-to-week fantasy production.
You can find the whole thing by searching the Chicago Trib archives, if you're so inclined."He is not going to get as many catches," Jay Cutler said. "I think that is fair to say. We would want to limit that. We have so many guys outside. There are going to be times when we get some coverages that are favorable for him but more importantly we have to get him going in the running game. That is his bread and butter and that is what he is good at and that is what we have to focus on."
