According to Adam Caplan from Sirius NFL Radio, Hasselbeck is working with the scout team and Seneca Wallace is running with the first team in practice.

Seahawks held a closed practice today and the media that was there could not report what was going on as far as snaps and who was running with which team. Holmgren said Hasselbeck is a gametime decision and I'm thinking based on what we've seen this week that Wallace will start. But I wasn't at practice today either.

you'd think that since hasselback hasn't shown he is "completely" ok to play, that this week against SF is a safe bet for them to rest him one more week. If they would have lost to St. Louis, I may think differently, but having what is basically a 3 game lead in the division and playing a team they should easily beat with wallace, that they would let hasselback heal up. If somehow the niners get a lead or wallace struggles mightily (very low probability) then hass may hit the field in the second half, but with no real necessity, i'd think they would give hass that extra week to get as close to 100% as possible. Just my opinion of course, but it seems logical.

Yes, it might end up an easy win for the Seahawks, but right now the Niners are in second in the NFC West and a win would put the Niners within one game of the Seahawks. So yes this game is important.

agree the game is very important to the 'hawks and they are on the road.

i also have to believe the team will stick with Wallace this week since there haven't been many positive reports on Hass' return.

The trap here is that SF is a nice game to "get healthy" and get these guys some game action to get them ready for the rest of the year. What you don't want is a reaggravation of any injury, so I think SA plays a little (certainly under 50%) and Hass sits this dance out.

Vernon Davis is expected back this weekend. I think he could take some pressure off of Bryant. Also, he's an excellent blocker, so expect Alex to get more time behind the line.

Any late news on whether or not Hasselbeck is playing tomorrow? I would love this matchup for Seneca but don't want to end up with a goose egg is Hasselbeck ends up playing.

Hasselbeck most likely will not play this week. The Seahawks will not push him into the starting position too quickly, especially against the 49ers. There was some soreness in the knee during practice this week.

GTD.

I'm starting Wallace in one league and taking my chances - I believe that if he starts, he won't finish the game. Practice this week didn;t sound too good.
