Matt Hassleback (1 Viewer)

Sounds to me like one bad hit is all it will take to knock him out.
Just put a trade in for him, oh well. But I think he is cleared and ready to go for this week, and his line hasnt been the problem in the passing game, its the run blocking thats killing them.

Matt Hasselbeck (oblique) took all but one or two of the snaps at Seahawks practice Wednesday.

Hasselbeck is nearly certain to play Sunday against the Browns, and makes for an excellent start despite the potential absence of Deion Branch (foot).

sounds like he'll start

Matt Hasselbeck (oblique) worked fully again at practice Friday.

Even though he appears likely to be without Deion Branch (foot), Hasslebeck is a must start against Cleveland. He will have D.J. Hackett back.

That's pretty good reporting considering it is only Thursday.

A little worried. Could be aggravated. But hard to pass up on this matchup.
Agreed. I can't say that I wasn't getting a little concerned when I read the following yesterday on CBS Sportsline (consider the source....)************************************

Hasselbeck made it through his first practice since he strained his right oblique muscle in a win over St. Louis on Oct. 21, though he appeared bothered. He winced. He bent over at the waist. He consulted the team trainer and quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn. And he continually rotated his right, throwing arm in a windmill motion, as if to loosen it. It was loose enough. One pass was a perfectly lofted, 50-yard throw that reached D.J. Hackett's hands as the receiver sprinted down the sidelin

Hasselbeck and the Seahawks said he'll be ready to start when skittish Seattle (4-3) comes off its bye and plays at surging Cleveland (4-3) on Sunday. "I was probably a little bit careful," Hasselbeck said after skipping only a couple of snaps with the first-team offense Wednesday. The area of Hasselbeck's injury -- sustained when Rams pass rusher Claude Wroten slammed his helmet and shoulder pad into Hasselbeck's side as he threw an incomplete pass in the second quarter of the Seahawks' most recent game -- gets pulled each time Hasselbeck raises the ball to throw it.

*************************************

I'm planning on starting him right now, but won't hesitate to go to plan B if I hear word that the injury is bothering prior to kickoff.
