Matt Jones (1 Viewer)

Saw a blurb somewhere on CBSSportsline that had him practicing all week. I think they even predicted that he may be starting Sunday.

Take that for what its worth.

He's sitting on the WW in my league right now (about 2 weeks there) and I imagine that he will stay there through the opening kickoff. If I see that he's starting, well then i will have to make a decision...wish I could tell ya more...

Anyone have any news concercing Matt Jones for this week? Is he even worth a roster spot anymore?
I swear, MJones might be the hardest person in the NFL to get any news about. Last I heard he was practicing but listed as questionable. The last couple of weeks, they have listed him as out at this point in the week. So I am hopeful he goes, but we'll see what the they report tomorrow.

The reports on the radio down here aren't promising. He's been practicing, but local radio is reporting that he can't open it up past 10 yards. He's still having trouble with the hamstring. I doubt that he plays this week, of course this could change by Sunday.

Sheesh. If this guy was a horse, he's be Elmer's by now. He's been sitting on my bench for weeks now. I know the kid has talent, and I don't want to dump him because of that, but it's getting ridiculous. It's funny because I know no one in my league will be interested in a trade for him, but I know if I drop him, someone will snatch him up.

The only upside is once he gets back into the starting rotation, he'll be rested up for the remainder of the year.

I do not have any news, but as a fellow Jones owner I hear what your saying.

At this point I am leaving him on the end of my bench and hope he comes back in a few weeks, and I sure wont start him untill he actualy gets in a game. I think he is the WR1 on Jax when he gets back to health, and to hear he has been taking part in football activities starts to make me hope that he will be a good end of year prospect.

I'm holding him in some leagues as well, hoping he'll be one of the blow up players the latter part of the season. He is available in a TD heavy league I'm in & i need help so I'll be keeping a close eye here. If he starts I may go with him.

At this point he is running and should be participating in team drills soon.

Obviously Del Rio decided to take the cautious approach with the hammy (after he pulled his groin also), so I expect he wont see the field until he is 100%.

At this point, I would think his ETA should be 3-4 weeks at most.

He has freaky talent and still will likely be the #1 red zone target.

Throw in Garrard possibly taking the reigns and ..................... it becomes a whole new equation for the better IMO.

I left him on IR until this week, can only have 1 player on IR at a position at a time, and with the Jennings injury, he had to go to the WW.... :(

obviously the Jags just didn't throw much yesterday, so the stats weren't there, but any word on whether Jones was limited and/or still nagged by the hamstring? i'm still holding out hope for this guy.
