Matt Judon (1 Viewer)

I've been trying to find out why he got such a bump in play myself but haven't had much time to research it.  Picked him up in the offseason thanks to a thread here discussing those with opportunity to step up this year but he hadn't done much up until this week.  If he can get half this production on a regular basis I could really use that with all of the bye weeks I have coming up.

They're running away from Suggs, no way this trend continues. Too many guys fighting for scraps oppo Suggs (Smith, Judon, Bowser, Williams) to be relevant and if he is relevant it will be more like 3 tackles and a sack every other week, no chance he repeats this performance...ever! (imo)

Edit - Just looked at snap counts. Judon did lead the way at 88%, Suggs 71%, Smith 50%, and Bowser 10% but the biggest thing I took away from all this is Baltimore played 80...yes, 80 defensive snaps, that's almost two games worth from a usual NFC North game (a little hyperbole) so keep that in mind. Judon may be the leader in the clubhouse for snaps moving forward but due to game plan from week to week and way less Def snaps on a regular basis, this effort is in no way sustainable.

In other news, the biggest thing I took away from this game was not Judon. Correia has been all but phased out (10% snaps), and although Levine only taking 12% of nickel snaps could have been game flow or the fact he came in banged up, Onwuasor played 88%. Scoop him up if there's room on your bench, he's no Orr but he's trending towards being his full time replacement on all 3 downs.

Sorry I haven't been able to add much lately, life's been nuts. I'll never be @ChicagoArch, he's a beast, but I'll try to contribute some moving forward if that's ok.

Judon a FA in my league (probably roster 50 LBs). Looks very legit based on casual research. Any hardcores/BAL fans with any updates?

It has to be a big play league (3.0 sack/tackle point ratio, and preferably points for TFL and QB hits) for me to really consider him. But in big plays leagues I would absolutely consider him for my week 1 roster, especially against the Bills. He had a 52 tackles, 8 sacks, 17 TFL season which for example places him in the LB top20 in big play scoring leagues. Thats the kind of numbers that Suggs used to have 10 years ago on a yearly basis.

Would even consider him a very startable LB#2 this week in balanced scoring leagues. It's a juicy matchup, but you got to know you have a higher risk of a low floor then with a true off-ball LB. If you expect to win your matchup, I would probably keep him on the bench in such formats; but in a tough matchup I would play the variance and try to get the big game against a messy OL.
