In the market for a new Queen Size mattress.  Looking for recommendations since there seems to be like 500 options nowadays 

thinking budget in the $1-$2K range

Also if there’s a thread point me there but the search function sucks now so didn’t find anything

We bought one of those memory foam mattresses at Costco for about $400. Set it on top of an old box springs.

Been awesome for about 4 years.

I am in the same situation. Completely overwhelmed with the options.

Memory foam...and I hate sleeping in other beds when on vacations (what are those?).

Stepdad has a sleep number thing he and my mom got before she passed...he loves it as well (they got the king with each side adjustable to raise head or feet or whatever.)

Split king is the way to go. We went with Mattress Firm and spent ~1200 dollars for 2 mattresses and the adjustable frames.

My only complaint is that i did better choosing a mattress than my wife and she wants to sleep on my side.

I would go with them again and spend around the same amount.
