MBSL2 - I Have A Life League:

A normal MBSL league with an 8 hour draft timer. The clock will be suspended from midnight EDT until 8 AM EDT and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. No penalty for timing out.

Let me start off by saying that I don't want this to appear like I am rushing anyone. I know this is the "I have a life league."

That being said, at our current rate - we may face serious problems if this doesn't pick up at least a little.

We started this draft on August 5. It is now August 16.

We are mid-way through the 7th round.

That means in 11 days, we have not even finished 7 full rounds.

11 days for 6.5 rounds is pretty pathetic.

At this pace, we would finish on or around September 4 (3 days before the season kicks off).

The problem I see is: all these drafts go slower as the draft moves on b/c quite simply, there isn't the same amount of excitement to log on in round 15 to see what kickers are still available - as opposed to the first few rounds when the best players are still available.

And if our pace slows up a bit - we won't be done by the season.

Just sayin.

:goodposting: Thats basically where i was coming from when I posted about the pace of the draft. This is by far the slowest draft I've ever been in here at FBG.

Well, so far 1/2 the league has taken their sweet-### time with at least one pick, and 1/2 the league has whined/complained about it. Oddly enough, those two lists are not mutually exclusive... not throwing stones from my glass house, kids, just making an observation.Maybe someone can start dropping additional PM's to folks when they start falling behind? Not sure how many of you have jobs/lives that take you away from the computer for long stretches of time. Except for evenings with my son and occasional meetings during the day, I'm always here... and will stay on top of my slot for the rest of the way.

Wraith, like you I am here all day (with the exception of an occaisional meeting) during the work week. I try to check at least once a night from home to see how it was going, and will try to send a PM if I am N/A (with exception of last Friday :bag: ). I will be in training classes the week of 8/29, so I will have to really plan ahead on my picks for that week. (Classes are 2 floors up from my office, but I will have to carry my laptop back and forth due to no internet access).

 
Anybody know how to get in touch with Rudy? I dropped him a PM, but he hasn't been online since yesterday at noon.

fro and rudy seem to get in touch with each otherthe only problem is their combined avg draft time is probably between 3-6 hours :shrug:
 
Can someone take a PM for my back to back picks coming up...eventually?

I will be at a funeral for the first half of the day tomorrow. Consequently, I will obviously be away from a computer.

At the rate we are going, I may get back and see I am still not on the clock. However, just in case, I was hoping to PM someone my picks. Unfortunately though, I see no one is on right now.

If someone reads this and plans on checking in frequently tomorrow, send me a PM indicating you can take a PM. I will log on tomorrow morning before I head off and if I see that someone will take it - I will send over my picks.

Oh, and this person needs to be someone who has ALREADY selected in the 7th round. Otherwise, I would be PMing my picks to someone who will be on the clock before me.

Pimpin called me and left me a message offering to take my PM - so I sent it over to himGive him a holler if I am up.
 
Hey guys, sorry for my delay on some of my picks. I am in Wyoming with family, but am trying to keep in contact with Fro during the day when I do have reception. I am usually a little quicker (as I am normally on the computer most the day).

Alright, I figured I would check in before I have to head off. Since I will not have access to a computer for the first half of the day, I did something many of you might not be familiar with. I have PM'd my picks to someone. (Don't take the sarcasm too seriously ;)

Anyway, Pimpin has my picks - so hit him up when I am on the clock.

Just an observation, but in the last 24 hours - from 8:43am EST yesterday through this very second: only 6 picks have been made. I didn't think it was possible for our draft to get slower, but apparently - it has.
