MBSL1 - OFFICAL Draft Thread (1 Viewer)

Seems like no matter what you do at least one of the positions will be slack with 16 teams drafting--so I'd say once you're comfortable enough with a couple of your positions then going top flight with another is a strategy that might work. :coffee:
:goodposting: That's why I didn't mind taking a shot on Gates + a #1 WR in rds 1/2. Trying to play catch-up at the RB position didn't seem like a very fun proposition. You guys messed me up though, I didn't think Lynch would last to 4.5, was just going to take Reggie Brown. :goodposting:

man, am i ruing the round i took palmer, it has killed this draft for me. gonna be chasing my tail the rest of the way. :wall:

without further adieu:

4.09 Laveranues Coles WR Jets

I just paid $12 for internet access at my hotel here in Orlando so I could make my picks. Hopefully this makes up for me holding up the draft this weekend. I'm going to be online most of the day tomorrow and will be checking in.

On behalf of everyone: "Thanks!" ...kind of a drag that you did that while we were rounding in on your pick--and the boards go down for service! :yes:As for myself--I prefer that these SL's don't stop the clocks on weekends--but with that being the case no problem with any perceived 'holdup' in round 2. As BSS said: "I guess Bfred has a life huh?"--and I'm another who's got so much on my plate that weekends can be tough. Hell--there are those on these boards (even in this draft!) who know that last year my schedule forced me to drop out of two leagues. :( In any case, this is the "have a life" league, and with everybody active here we're doing ok I think. I am impressed and amazed with the drafting going on using Blackberries--that's waaaaay to tech for me!! I doubt with my eyes I could read them...

Just pm'd evilgrin to let him know the boards are back up

edit: I see EG's on, and saw KRS while posting that last one....went ahead and sent a heads up to bfred....

4.14 - Donovan McNabb, QB, Philadelphia

Taking a big chance here with his injury history, but all the TEs I was going to draft here went flying off in the last 5 picks.

Pming Bfred

I like that pick--he was #1 when healthy last year--but right now I'm just as concerned with his recovery as potential reinjury. Almost passed on Brown because of that but decided to take the dare for his bye week.

almost pulled the trigger with Dono instead of KW2.
