McCaffery + 2.02 for 1.05, 1.08, 2.08 and 3.05 (1 Viewer)

Been talking back and forth with a guy interested in CMC and this is his most recent offer after he threw out 1.05 and 1.12 for him and I refused. I'm leaning towards accepting. I see CMC = 1.05 and 1.08 which leaves us with the 2.02 for 2.08 and 3.05. That is a little in his favor in my opinion but wrapped up in this is that I need help at WR and with 1.02 and 2.02 as my top two picks, I don't see myself getting a fair shake at a difference maker (since I'm obligated to take one of the 2nd tier RBs at 1.02). Have some feelers out for flipping 1.02 for a top WR but not hopeful.

Full PPR, 1 pt/10 carries, 12 team with 21 man rosters

List your team and available picks.  I hate when people say they are obiligated to take a certain position player, but if you move McCaffrey, getting a back at 1.02 makes sense as you would need McCaffrey's replacement.  (that's why you should like your team...the more information the better).

Initially, I would counter with McCaffrey, 2.02, another pick (will assume you have 3.02)... for... 1.05, 1.08, 1.12.  The 2.02 & 3.02 has similar "value" as the 1.12.  I am of the mind set if I am giving up the "top" piece in a 2 for 1 type deal, the 2 pieces needs to have more value... thus McCaffrey for the 1.05 and 1.08, the two picks have slightly more value.  Then I would try to flip the 1.05 (and maybe something) for JuJu or Corey Davis.

My bad, you are right.

12 Team PPR Dynasty - 6 pt all TDs, 1 ppr, 1 pt/10 carries, 1 pt/8 completions
Start: QB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, FLEX, K, DST
QB: Andrew Luck, Nick Foles, Eli Manning
RB: Christian McCaffrey, Duke Johnson, Eddie Lacy, Frank Gore, Deandre Washington, Wendall Smallwood, Mike Gillislee, Peyton Barber, Aaron Jones, Joe Williams
WR: Odell Beckham Jr., Emmanuel Sanders, Quincy Enunwa, Randall Cobb, Kenny Stills, Cooper Kupp, Kenny Golladay, Adam Humphries, Jermain Kearse, Chad Williams
TE: Delanie Walker
K: None
DST: None

I'm pretty light at WR. Beckham, Sanders and Cobb are the only 3 I would feel comfortable starting right now and the draft could change everything. Thus the feeling that I kind of need to make a trade of this type. Also, the other guy's team is pretty thread bare. I'm actually surprised he's trying to make a move like this, he needs the picks more than I do.

You are light at both RB and WR, but I would say you need the RBs more. CMC is the only real starter. Duke is behind hyde and likely saquon, gore behind drake, etc. Aaron jones could start but with monty and williams there its a mess. At least at WR you have producers in OBJ, Sanders, and possibly Enunwa, Cobb, Stills, Kupp, and Golladay.

I agree with jwsbowler,  and think you could benefit from the 1.05, 1.08, and 1.12. Both the 1.05 and 1.08 give you a good chance at starter caliber players. Take the best two Rbs you can draft and a WR at 1.12. As your draft approaches you can discuss selling them off individually for players like Juju.

I would say you are worse off at RB than you are at WR.  Even though it is a 1 RB start requirement you have very little behind McCaffrey.  I probably go for the pick side but wouldn't like it.  You know what you have in McCaffrey but you need quite a bit of help.  Getting the multiple picks may help to improve you quicker or if you miss on those picks you are screwed because you then don't have an obvious starting RB.  You are in a tough spot.
