McCaffery & Mixon for Diggs and Cohen (1 Viewer)

Do I make this trade in .5 PPR?

QB Russell Wilson, Josh McCown,

RBCarlos Hyde, Christian McCaffrey, Javorius Allen, JStew, Mixon, Powell, Smallwood,Woodhead

WRLarry Fitzgerald, Doug Baldwin, Ricardo Louis,

TEAustin Seferian-Jenkins, Charles Clay

That's tough.  What is your record and how many teams?  What is the roster layout of your league?

It is redraft or dynasty?

I keep the RBs you can start Wilson, Hyde, McCaf, Fitz...then choose between Baldwin or mixon

Maybe try to move one of them.

    Current                                                                            After Trade

RB   Hyde, Mccaffrey                                                          Hyde, Javorious Allen

WR  Larry Fitzgerald, Doug Baldwin                                   Larry Fitzgerald, Doug Baldwin

Flex   Javorious Allen                                                          Stefon Diggs

I say no.  If you can pick up Breida, I may reconsider, but still leaning towards no.  In a best case scenario, I do believe the trade would benefit you.  Saying that, not by much.

The potential downside of this trade far outweighs the upside.  You have 2 risks, and I believe Hyde is the major one:

1) Carlos Hyde: If something were to happen to this man you would be very vulnerable at the RB position.  On top of the fact that he is very injury prone, the 49ers are going with the "hot hand" approach.  Injury or a high performing Breida will throw your team out of whack.

2) Stefon Diggs: While he was putting up great numbers at the beginning of the season, he is coming off a groin injury.  If this injury lingers he will not keep this up.

You definitely need to make a move, but I would say this is not the one.  Being 2-4, you need to make a trade giving you higher upside potential.

*If I misread your answer to my previous question and there is a single WR slot in your league, I lean even more towards no.

Thanks, renegotiated and its now McCafferry and Buck Allen for Stefon Diggs and Cohen. Thoughts from anyone will be great.

While you don't have any studs, you have depth at RB:  Hyde, CMC, Mixon, Allen, Powell.  I'd rather just try to do Mixon for Diggs straight up.  No need to give up 2 RBs and get 1 back (Cohen), it's addition by subtraction.

Be leery of Diggs for the rest of the season.  He started out huge last year, then had an injury (I believe it was a groin or quad type injury) and his numbers tanked even though he was gutting it out.  I wouldn't trust his injury history and performance history while injured.  I would stay away at this point unless you could get him on a low ball offer.
