McGahee love on the Pod Cast (1 Viewer)

I couldn't disagree more with the McGahee Love "Hit the Bills in the mouth" what game did he watch. Except for 1 drive McGahee was completely shut down. McGahee had 4 carries for 72 yards on the drive after half time, which leaves him with a robust 15 carries for 42 yards for the rest of the game. My mom could have ran though that hole on the TD run. As far as the stiff arm, the guy he got was a converted WR playing in his second game as a DB. "as good as he has ever been" After the only drive he had they took him into the locker room for dehydration and gave him an IV. He finished the rest of the game with 4 carries for 3 yards!!! I would consider trading him is becuase the Ravens do have Cleveland, Miami and Cinn coming up but they also have Pitts (2), NE, Indy and SD.

Agreed... If anything the Bills punched him in the mouth. Like you said he just got a couple runs on one drive. Had he (and the running game) actually managed to be a bit more consistent they probably would have won.

Last time I checked, that TD run still counts. You can't selectively choose which plays you want to count. Give him credit, he has been having a very consistent year.

To be fair the TD run was legit - he also juked Whitner (one of the best defenders on the field) in the hole which set up the stiff arm on the 2nd level.I do agree with the general point though. He ran like he had led in his feet for most of the game. He also needed an IV after his only long run last year vs. the Jets, so I think it's fair to question his endurance and his overall homerun ability. And he has to be the only RB who has played 7 soft D's to start the year.

You're totally right man! I mean sure he's second in the league in rushing, and 6th among RBs in receiving, but this guy is a complete punk and he runs like a 12 year old girl! I heard this one time, he totally got a cramp and sat out a whole series. What a little cry baby! Once in college some guy hit him low during a bowl game and this cry baby didnt play for -like- a whole year... forget trading him, you should just cut this guy.Sincerely, Every other owner in one of your leagues, ever

McGahee has played the easiest run defensive schedule in the league. In 7 weeks his opponents average rushing defense is 24.7. McGahee has faced rush defenses ranked, 27, 28, 16, 30, 23, 24, 25. INCREDIBLY easy schedule. As opposed to someone like Benson who has played the toughest run schedule with an average of 10.2 ranking. Benson has played rush defenses ranked 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, 17, 19.

Also, the TD run came when the Bills had only 10 defenders on the field.
No question, post bye the schedule gets more difficult so we'll see. He played as promised so far against the soft part of the schedule, but don't forget in the last 3 games, he was running behind a line that featured 3 rookies, a second year player making his first 3 starts as C and the old man of the group, LG, who by the third game broke the 20 game barrier. Lastly, he was facing 8 man fronts for vast majority of the time. His performance has been pretty solid to say the least all things considered

I'm higher on his replacement in Buffalo to outperform McGahee for the balance of the season. Look at Lynch's upcoming opponents: Jets, Cinci, Miami.... Add to that a killer playoff schedule, and I'd take Lynch over McGahee in an instant.

:goodposting: The TD run still counts, but I'd hardly say that McGahee punched the Bills in the mouth. Other than a mental screwup that cost them a TD, Buffalo was all over McGahee and stuffed him in the backfield over and over again. Buffalo's defense looked very good against the Ravens on Sunday.

Your either a McGahee owner or you did not watch the game. Its is true, minus 2 runs that were above average runs, he was playing poorly ALL day. Against a depleted D.This wasnt the Steelers D For all the hype about a revenge game it was pretty embarrassing performance.

Well,.... his schedule certainly gets harder the second half.... we'll see. However, the Ravens REALLY need a passing game... not that it's an excuse, but for those McGahee owners... Kyle Boller vs IND, NWE, PIT etc...

I pimped McGahee all offseason due to the opportunity and SOS. I have to say though after watching him, yes he's been consistent, but he hasn't been very good. He's playing total cream puffs and putting up 90 yards and a td every 3 weeks. Decent #'s but the line is in shambles, the defense/ST isn't as good as I thought they'd be, QB situation is not good and it looks like the team could be imploding a bit. I dealt him two weeks ago knowing his schedule gets tougher and because the overall Raven situation just doesn't look good in the 2nd half.

Now may is probably the perfect time to deal him since he's at his peak value.

who leads the AFC in rushing yards?
who's had the easiest rushing schedule in the league?Besides just quoting stats you often have to look deeper and consider who they've played, evaluate the team and look at the situation going forward. He will not lead the league at the end of the year.
