McNAbb at #6 QB on the cheat sheet? (1 Viewer)

You logic is beyond flawed. McNabb has played poorly when rushed. Washington does not have a good pass rush, Washington has a injured Fred Smoot as the #2 CB. I will bet you anything you want McNabb will finish higher than 25 among all QBs this week. What do you say??
Deal. If he is 25 or worse you pay me $10 Million. 24 or better and you pay me $5 Million. Good luck.
Just once it would be nice to see you put your money where your mouth is. You like making ludicrous predictions either just to fish or be an idiot.
 I did. You aren't backing off of what you said, are you?
 Not at all, when can I expect verification on the funds you wish to transfer to my account when you lose??

 I do not see why that would be necessary, there are no circumstances under our agreement where I am obligated to pay you.

:bs: Correct on all counts (except the clever part).Best of luck to you the rest of your FF season. Here's to wishing you run the table and line your pockets with winnings!

Looks like #6 was too low.
Agreed; looks like a few big servings of Crow for some of the posters to eat.Congrats to the staff for calling this one.
Funny how those posters are nowhere to be found tho......
Reporting. I definitely thought #6 was too high. What really hurts, though, is the fact that I turned him down in a trade offer just a few days ago. I just thought that he didn't look like the "same Donovan". Right.

Good call by the staff. But who are you? I seemed to miss your post backing the staff. But I'm sure you must have made one, otherwise calling people out after the fact would be extremely gayish.

And think, just a couple of days ago it was "statistically impossible" for him to throw even one TD pass this week.

All I know is one trend that is FF gold- when Mcnabb is down, when he is out, when he is up against the wall, when the critics say he is done, when he looks horrible at home AGAIN, when he is on the road with a tough game- START HIM!

I know, I just wanted to sound like I knew what I was talking about.... :bag:  But seriously, as a DMac owner, HoorAY!

I'd say pretty good for a "neutral" matchup.

I am a McNabb owner and I definitely thought that #6 was too high. Fortunately for me, my other options were Rivers and Griese, so I didn't really have a better alternative - although I did consider Griese. :bagoverhead:

QB has been my weakness all year, and if McNabb can keep this up, I may have a shot at the Brady/Moss owner in the playoffs. :noddingsmiley:

This may be the game that gets the whole team going... The sort of game that could really build momentum for a team... As a McNabb owner I am hoping this is the beginning of his return to stud status....

I'd say pretty good for a "neutral" matchup.
To label a matchup neutral is to imply that neither team appears to have a huge edge over the other prior to the game. The Eagles' poor pass protection has plagued McNabb at points this year, and the Redskins have enjoyed a reasonable amount of success rushing the opposing passer - just one of the factors behind the "neutral" ranking.Tom Brady in a tough matchup week is still likely to be a fantasy stud. Alex Smith (SF) facing a great matchup may well still be a fantasy dud. The matchups are intended to break down the weekly games and let folks know when favorable/unfavorable conditions exist for any of a variety of players that may be on their teams - they are not intended to be an alternative to FBG's projections, but another tool for folks who want to look at the matchups in depth beyond the bottom line of our official projections.

BTW, this is explained at the top of the matchups every single week.

My .02.

I admit -- I was wrong on this one and will eat all the crow you want. But just want to say this: FBG did move him down to the #9 spot which was much closer to where I had him rated (I had him at 12 this week). Also, I think Westbrook's performance really helped McNabb's stats look a lot better this week than they otherwise would have been.

While it is easy to go back in hindsight and point fingers, it is better to determine who was right/wrong and why they were right/wrong. It is entirely possible to have a player ranked in the correct spot yet have them perform differently for a number of reasons. That being said, FBG definitely ranked McNabb better than I did this week, and my post earlier in this thread was a bit out of line. For that I apologize.

Statisitically, it was. :lmao:
Statisitically it is impossible for Tom Brady to throw any more TDs this year, as he has never thrown more TDs in his career than he has this year. It's a stupid arguement/way to look at things.
How so? Numbers don't lie. People should be dumping Brady now. Good find! :ptts:

Your post (#34) stated: "McNabb has thrown one TD pass vs. NFC East opponents in three games, including zero vs. Wash earlier this year. It is statistically impossible for him to throw a TD pass this week. "Using this logic Brady has never passed for more TDs in a year than he has this year, therefore it is statistically impossible for him to pass for any more TDs the rest of the season. I'm just applying your logic to a different situation to show how although numbers don't lie, they don't always show the whole picture either.

how about McNair at #11.......LOL
I was actually thinking of picking him up from the WW and playing him this week ... :hey:
Danger!! I did this week 1, when they played Cincy. Hated my backup QB pick in the draft, so I dumped Pennington to get McNair, played him over Kitna.McNair = 0

Kitna = 26

I lost by 20 points, now sit at 7-1 in 2nd place. The leader? They guy that beat me week1, he's also 7-1.

I only offer this story of my own season to illustrate that McNair can F up even the tastiest of matchups. Don't do it!!
Well the staff certainly nailed McNabb this week. I benched him to play BigBen, so I didn't lose much over it. But for those that played McNair, don't say you weren't warned. I'm now 8-1, alone in 1st, my only loss being when I fell into the "but McNair is playing the Bungles" trap.
