I have one acronym for you... CBAI believe that's the only thing standing between McNabb and an extension.Once it's settled, if it is settled, the deal will get done.Same w/ Brady and Peyton.Reports i always read was that Nab wanted to go to the vikings. Any chance that Nab doesn't sign an extention and becomes a free agent the same time that Favres contract expires?![]()
Rumor has it that the Vikings WR's even believe he will be there next year. The Vikings coaching staff already had them trying to catch bounce passes during the OTA's.I think he'd still rather go to the Vikings (best chance for SB, better line, better WR, better RB, coach he is comfortable with, shove it in everyone's face). But he is a good soldier and will sign with the Skins if they give him a good deal.
They have their QB for the next few years. He's arriving next month. McNabb will be somewhere but I can't see how he can last 2 year's on that horrid team. He doesn't have much time left and why spend it on a last place team.Hes going to a Viking next yr...

Nah, I love McNabb and I am real thankful for the years he put in with Philly. He gave us a lot of fun Sundays and I will always remember that. I am however pretty happy to see the Eagles move in an new direction and to see how Kolb turns out.Chewbanks said:A women scorned, huh?Rumor has it that the Vikings WR's even believe he will be there next year. Another year of their QB totally choking with the money on the line in the playoffs again might change their minds. They have their QB for the next few years. He's arriving next month. That quote is meaningless. What else do you expect Allen to say? It troubles me that they haven't worked out an extension. Typically when you trade for a guy in the last year of his contract you extend him right away, perhaps even as a condition of the trade itself. I don't see where there's a need to wait, and what are they waiting for? The start of training camp and the season when there are more reasons not to become distracted with contract talks? After the season when McNabb can easily decide to field a few offers by waiting a few weeks before coming to the table with the Redskins, eliminating the Redskins' exclusive bargaining position?"We really haven't started [talks]," Allen told Comcast SportsNet, via Dan Steinberg of D.C. Sports Bog. "Donovan is so excited about this new opportunity -- the team has embraced him, our fans clearly have embraced him. We'll have plenty of time to get something done with him. We see him as part of our future. We would not have made the trade unless we see it that way, and he knows it.
"He's a mature player who knows that he's gonna be paid well, but there'll be a right time. We made a great investment in trading for him and we like the guy, we really like him as a leader on this team, and the players have really accepted him. And we think he's gonna be a great Redskin for years to come."

Uhh, 2nd and 3rd round picks? Where are you getting that from? There is one thing for sure, he will not be a Redskin. At some point this guys ego is going to have to kick in and he won't continue to be insulted by coaches to much longer. Shanny said he is to stupid to call 2 plays at once, then said he is to fat and lazy to run 25 or 35 yards if the get a completion and they dont get out of bounds. Nobody with his success ahould stay on after that. I would hold a parting press conference and tell the Eagles I hope that 2nd and 3rd picks really help them, laugh and walk out of DC.
MN would be a good fit if Chilly is still there. This season is coming unravelled pretty fast. This team melts down anymore then they already have and they quit on Chilly, he could be gone even with the extenion.
AZ needs him, no doubt. H e lives in the same neghborhood as coach Wiz, would want to come here and would be given the royal treatment. This city has had a taste of football sucess with Warner and do not want ot go back to the losing ways.
The Eagles already got the 2nd round pick (#37) in the 2010 draft (Nate Allen). Washington still owes Philly a conditional 3rd or 4th round pick in 2011. I'm sure McNabb will get in shape/learn the plays/pick up the pace in practice by then.Uhh, 2nd and 3rd round picks? I could see him coming to MN if Chilly is around. He has a thing for Eagles players. If he's gone, McNabb could still find his way there. Vikes will need a QB and still have a lot of pieces in place. McNabb is McNabb, but I'd take him over TJax and a lot of other QBs in the league. I would like to see a play for Vick as well, but I'm not sure what his situation will be like with the Eagles. Either Vick is a good actor or he's really changed for the better. Aside from his good QB play, he seems to say the right things during interviews. There is one thing for sure, he will not be a Redskin.
