seems like it would be an interesting way to separate those who consistently get good yardage from those that get repeatedly stuffed but still break a long one somewhat regularly
i've never seen median yards per carry stats. my guess is that they'd look like this: 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, ... 3.5, 3.5, 3.5, 3.5, 3.5, 3.5, ... 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, .....since the median will either produce a whole number or a decimal halfway between two whole numbers. not very enlightening.

Success Rate would be better than Median YPC. Success Rate is what percentage of an RB's carries get at least 45% of the necessary yardage on first down, 60% on second down, or 100% on 3rd/4th down. It's a good measure of how much an RB is actually contributing to moving the chains.Success Rate can be found here.
