Mendenhall vs. the vaunted SF D (1 Viewer)

I go against Mendy this week. I know the Rams suck but so does Mendy so Im not too concerned.
Depends on your meaning of "concerned". Have you seen how bad the STL run D is? With Ben nicked up, I wouldn't be suprised to see Batch in this game and Mendenhall get 20-25 carries, so he has a good shot at 100 and a score.Mendenhall did get about 80 total yards last night against a tough SF defense.

Another gem from Rotowire:

Dec 20 Mendenhall had 15 carries for 64 yards against San Francisco Monday.Recommendation: Another sub-par outing for Mendenhall, who added 25 yards on three receptions.
Let's completely ignore the fact the he was facing the top run D, what does that have to do with anything?Gotta love Rotowire....

dumb. He scored double digit points on my bench going against the top rushing defense that still has yet to allow a TD. Far exceeded my expectations, hence me not playing him. Like I said, things are set up very nicely for people in their super bowls that happen to own mendenhall.

I benched Mendenhall and got more points out of Ryan Grant... but I only got 2 more points... so it wouldn't have been the end of the world.

I'm starting him with confidence this weekend and expecting his second 100 yard game with a TD or hopefully 2

Good point, hadn't thought about that.
What the hell? I had it all typed out and that's what got posted. Anyway, this is what I was saying. He's sitting on the waiver wire in the league I'm in the Superbowl. I'm picking him up at the very least to prevent the guy I'm playing from doing so, but now I'm thinking of starting him over Lynch. I don't see how Mendy has a bad day against St. Louis at home.

First to post obligatory, 'it must be fun to play in a four team league' comment.Seriously though, how in god's green earth can Rashard Mendenhall be on any waiver wire, in any type of scoring format?

It's a 12 team league, but with a very short bench. We start 1 RB per week and have 1 extra bench spot, so only 24 RBs are ever on anyone's roster. One of the teams that made the playoffs dropped Mendy for Felix Jones and I can only assume the reason was they didn't like his matchup against SF.Edit: To give you more of an idea about the short benches, I'll be dropping Bradshaw for Mendy.
