Mendenhall (1 Viewer)

Nice. a guy gets injured and you come in acting like a 8 year old claiming victory. You didn't come into to "gladly admit he looked better than expected" last week - only now, when you would somehow twist injury into showing you were right. Especially since the injury could have happened earlier in the game contributing to the poor showing.

You should change your name to "FF Tool" - because you sure are acting like one now.

Have a great season guy.
 Says the guy who wanted to claim victory after ONE week. I said I'd come back to eat crow or dish it out after a few weeks. I actually still think the jury is out on him. But was I surprised by his 6 carry, 6 yard performance before getting injured? No. Mendenhall has proven over the years to be a 4 ypc guy behind a decent line. This line isn't decent. That's all I've ever tried to say in here. You were the tool who just wants to look at season totals and project from there without even looking at the situation. It is even more laughable in the Crabtree thread. Trying to project his 4th year based on averaging his first 3? Yeah, you're a shark...

Pretty encouraging news if you're a Mendenhall owner. Reading between the lines it sounds like the achilles tightened up on him and the Steelers sat him until they could see whether or not it was knee-recovery related. Possibly not a bad injury...and sounds like it might even be possible he plays in the next game if things check out.

NFL.com and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Mendenhall's Achilles injury is minor, according to a person who has spoken with Mendenhall. The Achilles tightened up during Thursday's 26-23 loss to the Tennessee Titans.Mendenhall's status for the Steelers' next game will be determined by how the Achilles responds over the weekend. The Steelers struggled mightily to run the football in the three games Mendenhall missed while recovering from knee surgery. He returned in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles and finished with 101 total yards and a touchdown. The question becomes whether Mendenhall's new injury has anything to do with his speedy recovery from reconstructive knee surgery. The Steelers could be more conservative if they deem that to be the case.
