Johan was just fine before he got there. Today against the Brewers he freaking looks like Tom Gorzelanny.

I just never thought I'd need Todd Wellemeyer to bail out a ####ty performance from Johan Santana, that's all.

Sorry for the rant fellas. I just OD'd on the Santana Kool-Aid and was looking forward to a 22 win season.

Same old case of drafting the first pitcher and expecting him to put up the best pitching stats. Drafting pitchers is a crapshoot, so I shouldn't be pissed when it doesn't work out.

I just lashed out at the Mets coaches because he doesn't look like the same pitcher he was in Minnesota. Could be Johan is just more relaxed with all those millions guarenteed.

Is this serious? It was his 3rd start of the year. Santana has been a notorious slow starter, and has problems with the home run. That has not stopped him from being a dominant pitcher. His stats will look just fine at the end of the year.

He just doesn't look the same to me, that's why I thought it was a problem with his coaches.Thanks for the positive vibes though ...and Balco, it's not like I'm going to cut the guy, but damn when you pick a pitcher in the first round you expect domination. He's just not that dominant right now.
