MFL Gameday software.... anyone else have trouble with it? (1 Viewer)

Seems like it always craps out once or twice a Sunday on me.... then it will start working fine. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have a solution to it?

Thanks

It always dies on me also. Then everytime it tries to reset I get another window saying it won't work. It can be a real pain when you aren't by the computer and have to close umpteen error windows.

I screwed around using them for one week then went back to CBS like in years past (before this year, NFL.com was powered by CBS, and they've moved on now). I like CBS a whole lot better visually too, but maybe it's just because it's what I'm used to.

IND-SD game example if you haven't used CBS before:

Er... MFL , not NFL I think was what the OP was talking about...
Well then, clearly I'm an idiot. :goodposting:

Nah... but I agree with ya, the new NFL.com stinks compared to last years... :hifive:

To get this thread back on track... yeah, this happens every week to me. I'll walk away leaving the program running and then have a ton of error windows to close. I usually just go to task manager and close out MFL Gameday totally. That closes them all. I've even used the upgrade button on the last tab to try to get a new version. No dice...

For me MFL would just stop refreshing after awhile and give me a message saying it stopped due to inactivity. Huh? What 'activity' did they expect from me?

Anyway, I don't know if this is basically what's happening to you guys, but I set my page to automatically refresh every 2 1/2 minutes and it's been fine for several weeks now. I use Firefox -- I don't know if other browsers allow for that -- but the 90 second MFL refresh + the Firefox 2 1/2 minute refresh keeps the thing from stalling out. No problems any more.

I think the concern is with the standalone gameday program, which wouldn't be utilizing any browser refresh that I know of. I also get the same issue of the program getting stuck. I assume it is related to a resource sharing problem on MFL's end since it comes and goes like it does, and it does it on every PC I have installed it on and doesn't necessarily do it on all of them together either.

Man, I'm 0 for 2 in this thread. So you guys mean the "Looking for faster, more comprehensive live scoring? Check out MyFantasyLeague.com Game Day - a free PC program for live scoring updates" thing that is posted at the top of the live scoring but that I've never bothered downloading. Double-:(Sorry guys. Time for me to just shut up. :(

I loaded the program a few minutes ago, and it insists on updating me on everything that has already happened...how do I get it to shut up and only update recent events?

I've found that when I have MFL Gameday and NFL Scores open w/ Mozilla it chews up a massive amount of memory. If you use NFL Scores it is better to have it open with IE.

In the upper right corner there is a feature: "Run Rimer!"Turn the timer off by clicking the box...whenever you want an update, turn the timer back on.That's what works for me...anyone have a better idea?

Had problems last year with it timing out or whatever, but so far no probelms last week or this week.

It's showing me last week's lineup in one of my leagues. Not sure why...it's correct on the web live scoring.
There are corruptions issues. It keeps losing my team, and it completely corrupted one league last week. Just hit the update starters button again, and it will correct it.Overall I still like the program a lot.

I have my MFL Game Day on all day so far with no problems other then it not showing Maurice Jones-Drew with a TD but NFL.com is showing Maurice Jones-Drew with a TD, so did he score a TD? The live scoring for MFL is also not showing MJD with a TD....hmmmmm.

Been acting very FUBAR all day for me. Keeps re-reporting the scores and it's reversing the WR with the QB for passing TD's. It also has some scoring mistakes for my PK and Def. Usually works fine though and I love it when it works.

I am getting the worst results I have ever gotten this week. It isn't recognizing a several TDs - none for Lynch (1); Stewart (2); Giants D (1) to name a few ...

it also has the Min D shown as giving up 22 points, listed as a "final" stat (even in the MFL web page). Everyone may want to keep an eye on the league scores this week

It WAS working OK. Once things went to unofficial final, it lost almost all the mornings scoring information. That is why it is repeating it, it's getting it all back. SLOWLY.

Oh well.

I hear ya.I heard that Nelson passed to Rogers in the Packer/Lyings and thought "Is there nothing Rogers isn't going to do?"

MFL live scoring for my league is showing E.Manning with 3 receiving TD's...there are other players too that are messed up...hopefully this gets corrected soon.

I haven't been able to get this thing to work the past few weeks. It worked ok in Week 1, but since then....nothing. I can't even get it to start updating the scores for the first few minutes of a game.

I've uninstalled it, re-installed it, updated all my rosters, used the check for gameday program updates/check for nfl player and schedule updates, unchecked run timer (somebody else suggested that), but no dice.

However, if I log into this program a day after the games have been played all the scoring has been updated?

Has anyone got any suggestions because I'm out of ideas? I'm using Vista and Firefox if that helps.....

On my cable connection it works fine. On my dads satellite I get error messages every time it tries to update, always thought it was the latency.
