MFL Help - Ghost Team? (1 Viewer)

Hoping someone can help me with this. I play in a keeper league where we had an owner that elected to keep only Torey Smith. He ended up not showing up to the draft, so he's now out of the league (it's a rule). In an effort to keep the draft going, we just selected a bunch of scrubs onto his team, but we forgot to put Torrey Smith back into the player pool. The queston is twofold...

1. How do you set up a team to just use the league average as it's point total each week, instead of the total of all the crappy players they have. I've heard of leagues using a "ghost team" before, so I assume this is possible.

2. Can we do this while keeping the players on his team? I think it would be unfair to just drop Torrey Smith into the player pool for anyone to grab on waivers, so it would be best to just "freeze him" from being owned.

Thanks for the help!

For Commissioners-> Setup -> Rearrange Franchises In Fantasy Schedule Find that team under "Replace All Occurrences Of" and in the pull down menu, set them to "Average". You might need to delete the team for it to work. See the section of the MFL help file below.

How do I Play the League Average if our league has an odd number of teams?Answer: If you choose one of the Packaged Schedules that we offer, then the odd team options are only to have the odd team on bye each week. However, after you select one of these schedules, go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Rearrange Franchises In Fantasy Schedule screen and "Replace all occurrences of" *BYE* "with" *AVERAGE*.If you don't choose one of the sites Packaged Schedules, but instead manually create/edit the head-to-head matchups using the For Commissioner > Setup > Weekly Schedule Setup screen, just specify one team each week to have an opponent of "--- Average ---".Note: In either case, you should not define an extra franchise for your league to take the place of the average as you would then need to manually specify the "average" points for this team each week.

Is this a free or pay league?

And is there anything even remotely interesting left on waivers? Like, for example, would there even be a few crappy curent NFL starting QBs?

I ask because I think it would be fun to come in and take what was left over and try to make it at least semi-competitive on a week-to-week basis as long as an actual starting lineup was possible.

I'd be up for the challenge of doing it if you don't want to do a ghost team. And Smith would at least give me something at WR, heh.
