MFL Help: How do you suspend waivers? (1 Viewer)

Bob Wiley

Footballguy
I need to suspend my waivers which happens at 11pm tonight until tomorrow just this one time. Anyone know how to do this?

The easy way is to take away the owners ability to make waiver moves. Go to For Commish, Options, Abilities.

For Commissioner>Setup>Waiver Rules Calendar Setup

Edit the current weeks waiver period

That sounds like the easiest way. If I do this, and the owners have requests in already, will the waivers be awarded tonight as scheduled or does that halt everything?

They'll still process the requests that are already in.

Ok. I think I just accomplished it by messing with the calendar. We'll see.

:lmao: This is the correct answer. Take out the current week or edit the time it runs. Or go to the league calendar and click the "x" for that weekly waiver run and reschedule another for when you are ready.

That's exactly what I did. It worked too.

Wow, some of you guys know your stuff on MFL so I'll ask this...

Our league uses blind bid waivers...how do I set it up so a team can not sign a player (even if they are the top bidder) unless they also list a corresponding player to cut?

Pity bump...anyone?

hmm, best I can think of off the top of my head is roster limits, but that can affect unbalanced trades
Roster limits was my answer too, but I am not sure that fully accomplishes what he wants.

Not a problem there. Our rosters must be at 40 players at all times. So if there is a 2 for 1 deal a scrub will be thrown in to make it a 2 for 2 deal.

Last week that didn't work but I'll have to double check it.

Yeah. I manually process waivers, and that may be the only way to prevent "screwups" (by MFL or owners). Auto processing didn't work too well in my setup.
