I'm not sure I understand these.  Are ATL and JAX running a 4-3 or 3-4?

Shelby becomes more interesting, too, though not on the same level as Malik.

They both run "hybrid" 4-3 so it's a 4 man front most of the time. Malik was paid a ton of money so I assume he'll be on the field a ton to earn it. DT full time then sliding out on pass rushing downs would be my guess.

Sounds like Cleveland 34LB Ogbah is getting some looks at DE. Big bump for him if he somehow gets DE designation again and splits reps at 5-tech DE and rush LB.

Yes, this.

Alualu is playing the "big end" that Seattle seems to have gotten away from. Ryan Davis is playing the Otto LB. Which is kind of a 2-down tweener position.

^ So the OTTO position may be a smart one to target depending on scoring settings and positional requirements, especially if the LB vs. DE designation is favorable. Right now Davis, Skuta, and Holmes are listed as LB, so no advantage there. Still, if they are expected to act as pass rushers there may be value there above what you'd get from a more traditional OLB dropping into pass coverage.

If history is any indication, we should get two more of these before the season starts - one near the end of this month, and another the first week of September just before the first game.

So the Eagles play a 3-4 base with Barwin and Graham as their OLBs, right?  MFL has both listed as DEs.  Are they both 3 down type guys?  Big risk of them going to a LB designation?

  • ARI: Chris Clemons from S to LB
  • ATL: Dwight Freeney from LB to DE
  • ATL: Courtney Upshaw from LB to DT
  • ATL: Derrick Shelby from DT to DE
  • BAL: Kapron Lewis-Moore from DT to DE
  • BAL: Carl Davis from DE to DT
  • BUF: Jerel Worthy from DE to DT
  • CIN: Marcus Hardison from DT to DE
  • DET: Brandon Copeland from DE to LB
  • JAX: Tyrone Holmes from LB to DE
  • NE : D.J. Foster from WR to RB
  • OAK: Stacy McGee from DE to DT
  • OAK: Justin Ellis from DE to DT
  • PHI: Bryan Braman from LB to DE
  • PHI: Marcus Smith from LB to DE
  • PIT: Ricardo Mathews from DT to DE
  • SF : Quinton Dial from DE to DT
  • TB : Howard Jones from LB to DE
  • WAS: Quinton Dunbar from WR to CB
  • WAS: Will Blackmon from CB to S

Fingers crossed.  But the only ones that would change are those that have changed on rotoworld.  Have any notable ones changed there?
not sure.

I would think Kruger should go to DE though - just checked on rotoworld depth chart and he is still a LB

Cravens is the one I am keeping an eye on,  hoping he goes to S. Doubt it, but hoping to land another Barron/Deone.

Kenny Clark owners get the shaft in DT required leagues

Kruger could be a nice value if he gets the snaps

Watching this first Steeler/Redskin game and seeing Cameron Heyward lined up over the center (and guard) a ton in the first half drives.

He is playing an awful lot fo DT. Almost full time from what Im seeing.

^ It definitely looks bad for his 2016 production. Benching this week and I could even see dropping him if it continues. It would be a huge fall from top 10 in my league last year to DT scrub. Ouch.
