I am the commissioner of a league, and just now I logged into my team....... or so I thought. I must have mis-clicked. Put my password in and logged in....... to a different team!

I was like, WTF? I logged out and tried a different team with my password, sure enough, I got in......

This is messed up!

You don't trust yourself with all that power?

What's messed up is that you and the other owners never changed the password they were given...

Wrong.This is a personalized password.

I would expect this type of answer from a Viking fan, well some Viking fans, (sorry to Andy and snogger), you being one of them. You think what you are.

Go to For Commissioner...Setup...Commissioner/Franchise Setup...Abilities Setup...Go to bottom of page...clickn on Yes, the commissioner will give up his ability to view pending owner-initiated transactions...Save abilities. Problem solved.

I just tried it and sure enough, you are correct. I have no idea why this upsets you because as the commish you could log into any team from the commisioner page anyways. My leaguemates know I can go in and do things for them if they cannot get access so just let your league know and if they don't trust you, step aside as commish.

I wouldn't say it upset me at all, more surprised than anything. :pirate:

I know the answer was solved, but the commish should be allowed to move players around, but should not be allowed to see pending transactions...that is an unfair advantage

They way I handle this is when I need to move players around I uncheck that box mentioned before, do the work then check it again. The league gets an email both times telling them about the change of status. I then email the league to tell them what I was doing.

We also encourage everyone to talk trade by email and not the website.

I do most of this too but the problem is thousands of other commissioner's don't and their leaguemates aren't aware that the commish can see these waiver requests and trade offers. I have emailed MFL in the past to see if they can do something where the commish can make changes but not have access to pending waiver requests and trade offers but so far they haven't made any changes. Maybe if enough people send them an email through Feature Requests something might be done.

I commish an MFL league and my mind was not blown when I realized this was a feature of the league. You were vague-posting, don't juxtapose your guilt onto me.

It is not a "problem" so to speak. It is a feature of MFL. The commish's password functions as a master password. Like others mentioned, it allows you to log in for others to change their lineups or help out with their transactions if need be. By giving up those abilities, so will not be able to do anything of the sort until you reverse what you did.

And when you logged in as the other team....no one will know. Because the team that you logged in as will erase the "time last visited" date/time stamp whenever they log in in the future.

This is not exactly true. I have my computer set up to not remember passwords, cookies, etc. Therefore, when I click on my league's bookmarked site, I am logged in as a "guest." I have to manually enter my password to be logged into my team account. If I were to go to the last visited part of the home page, I'd be able to see if someone else (commish) had logged in as my team.

Yea i get this, but a commish has no need to log in as another manager, we can move players around for them when logged in as commissioner.

For the most part you are right, but one thing you can't do while logged in as commish is make waiver requests or blind bidding requests, you can move players directly on a person's team but if you wanted to just put in a claim for an owner before your league's waiver deadline. It won't let you unless logged in as the team.

I do not believe this is true.I swear I just did blind bidding for an owner a couple weeks ago, in fact I know I did, and i was logged in as commish. I remember because I was pissed that he didn't disguise his blind bid email to me by putting "Blind Bid" in the headline, thus making it difficult for me to bid on that player.I'll have to check, but I'm nearly positive you can do this as commish.ETA: maybe it's because I didn't have that box checked,......
