MFL - Yahoo email problems (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone, a couple of our leaguemates have yahoo email addresses and they are not receiving our MFL emails. Anyone else have issues with it? Are you just telling people to get new email addresses like MFL advises below?

Answer: Unfortunately, Yahoo! seems to be forcing a delay in the delivery of many emails from MyFantasyLeague.com - sometimes the delay is as little as four hours, but in other cases, the delay is days long. We've been in touch with the folks at Yahoo to try to get this issue resolved, but as of today (August 26th, 2009), we don't have a resolution to this problem.

In the mean time, here are a couple of things you might want to consider doing if you're experiencing this problem:

1 ) Contact Yahoo, and let them know about this delay, and how it's aversely impacting you. If they hear this message from enough customers, there's a better chance they'll actually fix this problem, rather than letting it linger.

2 ) Create another email account on one of the many free email services out there that don't have this problem, like Google's Gmail

3 ) Check your MyFantasyLeague.com league web site more frequently, instead of relying on Yahoo!'s email delivery.

Very interesting.... I had a trade rejected yesterday at 4:32 PM EST and it didn't hit my Inbox until this morning around 10-11AM

I set up the text-alert, so that when my phone notifies me I just go the MFL site and check out the draft board...

I just moved our league over from fanball to MFL to get away from all of the fanball issues, and the 8 team owners that use Yahoo email still have no emails from MFL to invite them into the league with their passwords - while the other owners using other email accounts have had no issues.

Had the same problem last night setting up the IDP survivor leagues. Some owners have gotten them this morning -- time stamped eight hours later than sent and received another three-five hours after the time stamp.

I'm also getting extremely delayed emails. Might have to swap over to my gmail account.

Reason 8,327,621 to use gmail.

Yep, still happening. You can update your email addresses for your team to include more than one address.

I had the same issues with gmail over the offseason, but they "appear" to be fixed. I also switched to HTML mode for gmail and things run a lot smoother.

Did you try contacting Yahoo and asking them to not block emails from MFL?
