Miami and Oakland... (1 Viewer)

I noticed that Oakland's normally strong Michael Bush was pretty well bottled up. Was this a case of the Miami defense being actually pretty good, or Oakland getting behind early?

Solid under-rated D & mistake free Matt Moore.

I'm curious to see what this will do to the dream team and everyone's favorite PPR RB (McCoy). Could we see Reid fired before Spano?

Miami had the #5 rushing defense going into the game and I think they are now #2. Generally speaking bad teams end up with poor overall defensive rushing statistics because when teams tend to run more when they have a lead. But Miami has been an aberration in that regard, which suggests that perhaps they have been competitive but make critical mistakes.

The bottom 10 rush defenses so far:

Giants

Bills

Chiefs

Chargers

Carolina

Oakland

Buccaneers

Colts

Browns

Rams

An interesting thing about the Raiders is considering their generally poor rushing defense and the fact that they lead the league in penalties by a wide margin it is remarkable that they are 7-5.

Miami is just plain out playing great ball, great defense, great running game, safe, smart passing game.

They were supposed to quit, they didn't. They had 3 losses of 3 points or less, they could easily be 7-5.

On the road, cross country, 2 time zones away (I think Oakland has had trouble on the east coast before); Bloom had MIA down as a rent-a-defense, but not Oakland. I regret starting M. Bush and the Raiders defense, I just did not believe it. I do now.

I think I am starting M. Bush this week though.
