It’s week one.
He made some good throws on the run. And some fast decisions under pressure. Some pin-point throws, a couple of underthows. A couple of too aggressive passes into triple coverage. Historic opening day performance.

If anyone watched the game play by play like we did, Hill was simply fantastic and getting open all day. I did wonder in the 2nd Half that Waddle seemed to disappear but it had nothing to do with FF, I know he was on the injury report in preseason, was hoping he hadn't tweaked anything.
Waddle played almost as many snaps as Hill so i don't believe injury had much to dow with it.
Next week, it could be Waddle that has 125 yds, 2 scores, this offense is going to feature more than Tyreek Hill. I was impressed with the 3-4-5 WRs, thought they did some good work underneath. Smythe ended up being featured on a drive as well.
Berrios and Cracraft 6-82/TD combined, Waddle avg almost 20 yds a catch

I haven't seen Miami try to get their offense on the field with under 20-30 seconds left, other team is in scoring range and we're calling timeout on 4th and 7?
Because we want a chance for the offense to get back on the field to try and make some points.
-That's some serious flashback to a QB named Dan Marino, could drive down the field in seconds. We haven't had that kind of mentality in a long time.

Let's discuss the DPI call at the end of the 1st Half
Am I wrong in understanding that all the Bolts had to do was basically let him catch it and wrap him up?
IIRC, there was no time left, it was a last throw down the field and unless it was tossed in the end zone for a TD, anything short of the goal line results in ZERO Points
Instead Miami draws the DPI and kick the FG to make it 20-17
Final score 36-34, a lot happens between these 2 scores but it had a major impact on the end of that football game.
McDaniel was thinking end game while he was still in the 1st Half
McDaniel out coached Brandon Staley yesterday, that has to be factored into the outcome of this football game.
That plus Tua playing out of his mind.

Yep. Let him catch the ball and wrap him up or let him run OOB. Bonehead play by the DB.
Brandon Staley gets outcoached weekly.
You are correct, the Chargers should have just let the guy catch it at the end of the 1st half.
Ultimately the stubborn failure to double Hill, was a big difference in coaching. I feel like Miami would have made that adjustment, LA never did, and kept thinking JC Jackson or whoever else could handle the assignment, which is silly, no 1 CB in the NFL can.

I am going to try and find some more of these for other games but it's quite an extensive highlight clip at over 15:00
-at the start of Miami's last TD drive I made a comment in this thread about Ahmed getting both targets and now we're at 3rd and 10 on our 25, and I'm saying why are we wasting time/plays on Ahmed down 34-30 late 4th Q when Tua hits Hill on an absolute had to have it throw to change field position and suddenly we are on the Bolts' 30 yard line.
There were many lead changes but I felt like Miami was running n the rails with that play, insanity when they connected on that throw.
There were a lot of Miami fans in the stands or Tyreek Hill was on everyone's fantasy team because the stadium was cheering even when Miami was moving the ball.
