Miami vs. New England Monday Night Game Thread (1 Viewer)

Everyone on the side you don't kick to is useless, might as well create some confusion about which side you are kicking to.
I think his point is why can't you just do the same thing with one kicker? Is there anything that says if he lines up on one side of the ball he can't just move over to the other side and kick it that way instead?

The play was there but they didn't execute, I liked it.

 All you've really done is taken a guy off the field who might get to the ball.

Amazing that Miami is still in this game. These secondaries are terrible.
Good observation. New England is getting a pass tonight but they are quickly becoming a team you might want to start WRs against. I like what Henne is showing tonight but he still is probably a bottom 10 QB and he is well over 300 tonight.

Half the guys aren't getting to the ball anyway, it costs you nothing.

It's just a way to change the angle on the kick so they can get it around the wall.Oh, wait. Sorry.

You didn't answer, or even respond to the question. What's the point in the second kicker? Is the hope that the guys on the left side will turn around and walk off the field when the first kicker acts like he's going to kick it and then BAM, haha we kicked it at you and you guys weren't even looking? If it's just a matter of getting them to line people up on the other side then the kicker seems unnecessary. If you line guys up over there then they will as well, regardless of which way the kicker is facing.ETA: The play looked good but ultimately didn't work because everyone they had running over there was engaging in blocks and they didn't have anyone left to go up for the ball. If only there were a way for them to get another player...

It's ridiculous that they haven't gotten the ball to Bush at the goal line sooner. The play he scored on is the type he has always had success with.

Maybe 9 on 9 is tougher than 5 on 5 both sides with them being spread out.

:lmao: , are you even reading?I don't see how else to explain this. Put 5 on one side, 5 on the other side, and the kicker in the middle. The opponent still has to put enough guys on each side to cover 5 regardless of which way the kicker is initially standing, assuming the kicker can just change where he's standing (which is the question I initially had).

I guess not

I sure hope randy moss isn't waiting for a phone call from n.e., because it's not going to happen. The pats have more weapons then carter has pills

People laughed at me when I suggested Branch could have more fantasy value than Ocho this year. It's only one game, but Branch has 7 catches for 93 yards so far.
Unable to wathc the game, but a Branch owner-- how is he being used? Is he in for more plays that Ocho? On the field majority of time? Thanks!
Pats have been going 2 WR / 2 TE all night no huddle. Branch and Welker are the receivers and Ocho has been on the sideline most of the night. Ocho 1 cacth for 14 yards.Brady hitting TEs in the middle, Branch on the sidelines, and Welker in various spots.
Thanks for the info.. do you see this the plan going forward or are they just easing Ocho in?

Ocho is their clear #3 WR, since they have been running mostly 2WR 2TE 1RB formations moving Woodhead all over the place I think we wont be seeing as much of ocho as I had hoped.
