Inventive, creative...What are the opposite of the ways the Dolphins are incorporating Bush into the offense, Alex? :hot:
They're using him fine. Bush being in N.O. in a bunch of gimmicky but still predictable plays where he was asked to try and bust the big one on every place was the worst thing that ever happened to him.Using him like a normal running back is the best thing for him and for the Fins.
He's not a 20 carry between the tackles kinda player.

don't you kind of have to try to jam Welker right there to have any chance of covering him? I don't get why you would play so far off before the snap when you're right at the GL like that.

Ne's D doesn't look all that good or Miami's passing game is much better than I thought. I expected to see NE putting a little more pressure on Henne and the Miami receivers are wide open down the field.

Why, because a couple of ESPN tryhards said so?Bush has good vision between the tackles (one of the reasons he's a good goaline runner in spite of his size) and has bulked up enough this offseason that he finally has the thickness in the top of his legs to not be dragged down by arm tackles inside, which really were the biggest thing holding him back in the pros.

People are under the impression that Bush was just running around the edge all day at USC. That's poppycock. Most of his long runs, like most other running backs, took place on plays that were run between the tackles and then bounced outside in the 2nd or 3rd level. Bush was pressured to get outside in New Orleans and it led to him passing up holes inside to do so. The pressure to bust the big one not only resulted in him giving up the 5 yard gains when they were there, but they also made breaking the big one even harder because most of those runs start inside. LeSean McCoy isn't a prototypical inside runner either but that's where the majority of his big runs come from.

It's popular opinion to believe that Bush wound up in the perfect situation in New Orleans. Personally, I think that's baloney and I'm not sure that there was a worse situation for him to wind up in because it led to him being stuffed into a gimmicky role.

How does that kool aid taste?

Not sure if this has been discussed, but is ESPN's score bar bigger than usual, or is it my tv? That #### takes up like 25% of my screen.

Sheesh. I had Gronk on my roster two days ago and fell for the preseason hype and dropped him for Hernandez. May cost me my matchup this week. They are using Gronk ALL OVER THE FIELD!! :wall:

Hernandez still second on the team in catches and yards at this point.
stunned that either was available for drop-add

The Dolphins had the entire off-season to get ready for this game... and they have no clue out there defensively.

Mike Nolan and Todd Bowels should be absolutely ashamed.

Have you ever seen anyone run slower than what Brady just did after that pick?
if i was belichek, id want brady to run in the opposite direction after an INT...dont want golden boy crackin a clavicle tryint to tackle.
 At least until the playoffs.

Teams playing the Pats are going to score a lot this year based on a couple of things...

1) The Pats Def is iffy but not bad enough to get behind bad in games.

2) The Pats Off is very good resulting in being behind for the other teams.

3) The Pats run that no-huddle that allows for extra snaps throughout the game.

Neither one of these defenses are very good.
Not sure it's fair to say that about the dolphins considering they're going up against the best O in the league. Brady has arguably the best o-line in the league and mis matches all over the field. Brady just sits there and throws to whatever mismatch he sees.

Great game so far.....just a really entertaining game.

I am just so happy as a long time die hard Dolphins fan to see us finally...finally open this offense up for the first time since freaking Shula was pushed out.
