Miami vs. New England Monday Night Game Thread (1 Viewer)

Jaws and Gruden need to stop praising Brady. New England O-line is ridiculous. Kerry Collins could shred defenses behindthat line.

People laughed at me when I suggested Branch could have more fantasy value than Ocho this year. It's only one game, but Branch has 7 catches for 93 yards so far.

No rooting interest in this game but I'm rooting against the dolphins because of those awful sunglasses Tony Sporano wears.

Unable to wathc the game, but a Branch owner-- how is he being used? Is he in for more plays that Ocho? On the field majority of time? Thanks!

Pats have been going 2 WR / 2 TE all night no huddle. Branch and Welker are the receivers and Ocho has been on the sideline most of the night. Ocho 1 cacth for 14 yards.Brady hitting TEs in the middle, Branch on the sidelines, and Welker in various spots.

Can any team in the league match up against this patriots offense? They keep using 2 te sets where they can run out of it with 2 extra blockers or throw with mismatches all over the field.

He's not a 20 carry between the tackles kinda player.
Why, because a couple of ESPN tryhards said so?Bush has good vision between the tackles (one of the reasons he's a good goaline runner in spite of his size) and has bulked up enough this offseason that he finally has the thickness in the top of his legs to not be dragged down by arm tackles inside, which really were the biggest thing holding him back in the pros.

People are under the impression that Bush was just running around the edge all day at USC. That's poppycock. Most of his long runs, like most other running backs, took place on plays that were run between the tackles and then bounced outside in the 2nd or 3rd level. Bush was pressured to get outside in New Orleans and it led to him passing up holes inside to do so. The pressure to bust the big one not only resulted in him giving up the 5 yard gains when they were there, but they also made breaking the big one even harder because most of those runs start inside. LeSean McCoy isn't a prototypical inside runner either but that's where the majority of his big runs come from.

It's popular opinion to believe that Bush wound up in the perfect situation in New Orleans. Personally, I think that's baloney and I'm not sure that there was a worse situation for him to wind up in because it led to him being stuffed into a gimmicky role.
I dunno, I sure see him going down to arm tackles tonight. Just because he had some success at USC between the tackles doesn't mean he's suited for it in the NFL.

Pretty sure this offense won't look quite as good against the Jets, but yes they look like a well-oiled machine. Of course, the postseason is more about what your defense can do....

Pats defense has been good enough.

Dolphins only 2-10 on 3rd down. They've really only had two good drives all game.

Somebody should point out to Gruden that Miami is on the east coast.
I was just talking about that. He has a point, condition training in Miami in August is much tougher to do than in New England due to the heat and humidity. He had a valid point he just didn't articulate it well. Then again that used to be an advantage to the Phins, they were better prepared to play at home in the first few weeks. These phins are a pathetic bunch.

Any chance they release Ocho?
I would have said "maybe" had they not just given him $5 million. The Pats won't go no huddle every week all game. Given that Brady audibles all the time, it will be tough for Ocho until he learns what to do. Makes you wonder what the offense could be like if he ever gets added to the mix.

Always follow the money. 88% of the money came in on the pats and Vegas will lose huge if they won by more then 7.

Get ready for a Miami td and for three knees by Brady....

Didn't anyone else hear Gruden swear during that last replay?

Edit: Gruden or Jaws? One of 'em did for sure
