Michael Robinson RB/WR in Yahoo leagues (1 Viewer)

Maybe I've missed it, but I haven't seen him lined up at WR for any snaps for SF. What's up with Yahoo and position assignments. If you have the opportunity to play Robinson at "WR" - understanding you get all his points regardless of where they come from (runs or catches) would you do it?

SF originally thought he would get more PT at WR so he was listed that way on their roster. After workouts and pre season games it became clear that they would use him more at RB and that has come to pass. I would still not be surprised to see him in motion from RB or flanked out on several plays as the season grows.

Yahoo appears to set their position assignments fairly early. Apparently before much information is available about how they will actually be used by the team drafting them.

Their policy is once they set a position assignment, they will add a new one if the old one is wrong, but they will not take one away during the season in case players made assumptions based on that original assignment.

They do this every year with a few players. Last year they originally thought Chris Cooley would be an H-back/FB so they put him as RB, then added TE. Colston was listed as a TE by the NFL during the draft so he's now TE,WR. Robinson was listed as a WR during the draft so he's now a WR,RB.

Yeah but it still burns me that someone in my league picks Colston up and plays him at the TE position. They should update the status if the player doens't play after X amt of games but that is me

:yes:So, let's stop complaining about the way Y! runs their software. If YOUR league and YOUR commish has no problems with the dual positional description, then play the player where you want to - it's all in the game. If YOUR commish and YOUR league restricts your usage of the playewr, then you should be willing to abide by that decision.
