Mike and the Mad Dog show (Not Done!) (1 Viewer)

Listening now. Whatever they have to do to put this show back together needs to be done. Simulcast like this every day, whatever. Ratings for both shows will skyrocket. Play out their contracts and then deal with it. Just do this every day.

Full disclosure, I do not listen to Francesca (but I have dabbled in an RN youtube or two), and there is usually a 5 minute window on the drive home from work where I am exposed to Russo.

Francesca = Garden variety NE #######; Russo on the other hand ... only through the grace of an annoying accent does he escape association with the dumbest of dumb rednecks. Loved hearing him struggle and fail to use the expression "bell cow" where it was needed. ... he settled on bellwether.

Still, I love the unintentional Sylvester the Cat impressions.

It's really remarkable how much better they are together than either of them solo. They each smooth out the annoying traits in the other effortlessly. Mike is a human being again, Dog is somewhat credible. They are dumb if they don't team up again.

He was discussing young ny athletes and who will be the biggest star in ten years. His candidates were Harvey, DeGrom, Syndergaard, Beckham, and Porzingas. Several people called and asked him about Tavares. His reply was he was too old, he was really going for guys under 25. Then he realized Tavares was only 25 and DeGrom was older than 25 and he changed his list to guys in there first or second year. Disregard the fact Harvey is in like his 4 year just because it didn't fit his narrative.

Tavares is like 28 years old though when you factor in the exchange rate. ;)

Nah, it's totally acceptable for the h/t to be in the body of the story. I'm not sure I've ever seen them give credit in the tweet itself.

So Mike just belittled a caller for asking him to define the nickel defense.

I'll paraphrase: "A nickel is 5, so the nickel defense is 5 defensive backs. I'm sure you can figure out what the dime is."

BTW - I know you don't care for the attention RN so much, but it's well deserved. So awesome watching your twitter feed explode like it has been.

RN please tell me you have the Die Hard call.

Quick summary, guy calls in and asks mike if Die Hard is considered a Christmas movie. Mike says I don't get your point, did it come out on Christmas? Guy said no it came out in the summer. Mike starts cracking up and asks why would it be considered a Christmas movie if it came out in the summer. His producer quickly chimes that the movie happens during a Christmas party. He goes oooh I thought you were asking if it was came out during Christmas or it was something to that effect. He had no clue what he was taking about and then changed what he thought the guy was asking about. Reminded me of the al alberquerque call

I heard it as nothing like the Albuquerque call. Also, I agreed with Francesser's take on the matter. It is hard to label a movie "a Christmas movie" if it comes out in July.

Well then you are as wrong as big Mikey.
No, you are wrong. A Christmas movie would not come out on July. Also, only a dolt would label "Die Hard" as a Christmas movie.

BTW, I haven't been here in awhile. Any old YouTube clips in this thread will no longer work. CBS (WFAN's parent company) had YouTube terminate my account for copyright violations. Mike probably got tired of me making fun of him. No worries, I backed up all of the clips and they are here now.
lol

This is seriously hard to believe. He said it YESTERDAY!

It's either Alzheimer's, or he's become too comfortable lying, or he never imagined someone would record his Sunday morning show.

Maybe all three.
Yeah he's seriously losing his faculties now. Today he was repeating himself so much that it became unlistenable. Same takes over and over on the 4 playoff games, verbatim. If you heard the first hour, you heard the whole show.
