Mike Bell in PPR (1 Viewer)

Tatum had 15 touches last week and Mike had 14 (4 being receptions). Mike had at least 2 receptions and the TD after getting crushed by Little. All indications are that he is good to go this week and that they will split series again like last week.

I'm liking Mike better than Tatum in a PPR league but I'm hedging on that thought a bit because of the finger. With both splitting series I can see each getting double digit fantasy points and both being a solid #2 RB. That being said I see Mike with more upside in PPR leagues.

I believe Tatum had less than 1 reception per game last year and 0 last week. FB Kyle Johnson had the most receptions last year by a running back with 17 so I was pleasantly surprised with Mike's 4.

I know I'm spending way too much time analyzing this situation. I'd like to hear the opinions of the Sharks. Is Mike's finger injury something to be overly concerned with?

ETA: don't make this into a WDIS thread. I'm looking for thoughts on the finger effect.

I believe it will..no doubt!

With Mike's injury and Tatum's 100 yard game, I think Tatum has a much more secure grasp on the starting job.

Last week was a 60-40 split but I think I'll be more like 75-25 from here on out.

If you like what you saw last week (Tatum and/or Mike owners) you'll like it this week.

Nothing changes. Alternate series.

Both played well. No reason to change a thing.

I'd say that Mike's injury, Tatum's higher YPC, and the fact that Denver lost are all valid reasons for Denver to make changes.

When Tatum fails to run it in from the 1 3 times in a row(yet again) he will lose the job.

Not owning either player and watching the game last week I would say Tatum is the better Bell.

Looks much more explosive than Mike. Mike was not even that good in college. I would not be suprised to see Cobb eating into Mike Bells carries soon.

Tatum also has a fumble to his record. My sense is that Shanahan would like to see one guy take the job, but until then, he'll use the RBBC situational approach. Tatum is almost certainly the most talented, but that doesn't mean he'll be the most effective for this offense.

Re: Mike's finger - I read the injury happened early in the game. For him to have the game he did with a bone that pierced the skin - WOW. He leaped into the end zone from the 2 yard line with a bad finger. I say the finger doesn't bother him at all.

Now, will he be the better back on Sunday? That's the million dollar question.

I'm thinking 60-70 rush yards with maybe 1 TD. He could break one and have a 90-yd day. Who knows?!

We have no way to know the effect that the injury will have. If it becomes a holding onto the ball issue, then I agree.Denver did not lose because of the backfield rotation. They both played well.

I am in the unforatunate position of having M Bell and Moroney as my 2nd RB option in PPR. Leaning towards M Bell because it is KC D, in Denver and PPR.
